I think I remember you saying you did not have much experience with street level black people once, maybe I remember incorrectly. I hope you make a go of your practice. you seem like a caring person who wants to do good. obviously you aren t rich and pampered. I did not mean to imply otherwise.

poverty I m familiar with, black people I m familiar with, so I hope I can provide a perspective that may not be represented here. I try to qualify statements I m not sure are correct. sometimes I fail to do so, sometimes the qualification is over looked.

I was only trying to present my perspective.

You must have me confused with someone else; when I was at Georgetown Law in the criminal justice clinic, I had to investigate my own defense cases and that meant spending a lot of time on the streets of Anacostia and NE/SE D.C., rubbing shoulders with the regular people - black and other, but mostly black.

PS - That's where I saw what truly poor really looks like; by no means do I mean to suggest that I have ever been as poor as those folks. Even when I was homeless, I had more possessions (in storage with my exBF) than most of those folks will ever have.

sorry about that. someone said something to that effect, can t find it tho.

I ll blame the lyme disease, because it really screwed up my memory of linear time and names. in case anyone is curious it also ruined my ability to add and subtract for awhile. I knew that 9+4=13, but just couldn t be sure until I counted it.

it was a bitch because I was the quality control guy at the steel shop then, and had to check every fabbed pc dimensionally and structurally. think of a giant erector set partially assembled and checking to make every hole and angle and small attached pc is within 1/16 inch of the blueprints. I overcame the adding thing by adding strings of numbers before I went to sleep for a couple months. I guess I made new pathways because the adding is fine now. names and what year something happened are still a mystery sometimes as is my better half s work schedule. I don t even remember my daughter as a toddler. I lost a couple yrs mostly. they were bad times anyway. good riddance, except for the toddler part.

not complaining, just saying

apologies for all identity mistakes
