oldr: the band backing Lou in my clip above is actually the 1974 line-up of the Alice Cooper Band, including Steve Hunter and Dick Wagner on guitars, Prakash John (also formerly of Funkadelic) on bass and Whitey Glan on drums. That was one hell of a band.

Can't open that either. Will do at home. Sounds like something good.

I miss the old guitar riffs of the 70's (not so much the drum solos) ;)

Don't need the quiz. The correct answer is Bat Out Of Hell. [/thread]

in 1979 the Pittsburgh pirates came back, against the orioles, from a 3-1 deficit, to win the world series. "we are family" by sister sledge was their anthem. I still hate that song..... they may have played that Gloria gaynor tune too.... so I hate that one too, just to be safe.

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

What Jean-Luc said . . .

Wes, fwiw -- I was, well, in elementary school in 1979 (or was it junior high) and adored the Orioles. My whole room was covered with Os memorabilia. I was at W.S. Game 1, and watched every second of every other game with bated breath. Game 7 starting pitcher was my favorite Oriole -- Scotty McGregor -- and no one was more heartbroken than I when that game was lost. No one.

But Gloria Gaynor has nothing to do with it at all . . . .

The Sledge sisters couldn't have cared less about the Pirates. They were Phillies fans.

Nope, switch that up. Eddie played first, May was the DH. Eddie was a rook in 77 not 79.

Look it up, I'm sure I'm right.

probably. when I was 13 I could have rattled off all the stats and records.... I spent many nights reading the backs of baseball cards. I think I read every sports bio in my local library in when I was in fourth grade.

Aw gee Wes, and after we had that frank discussion about this a little over a week ago, you were doing so well...

(despite all the attitude you gave me...as a parent of a teenage girl, I've learned to put a lot more stock in what's done then what's said... ;) )

I guess I'm going to have to put you back on ignore, and go back to opening and reading your posts only when I don't see two in a row...(Not because two consecutive posts are inherently bad, but because the way you do it is...)
