I did not say that we should raise the price of food, blah blah blah
Apparently once again, you need to be reminded of what you said:

And fewer people will have to choose between eating and staying warm this winter.
Actually, he called it the "most important driver":
I've written threads before about how it is often a problem when things are too cheap or too abundant.Food is too cheap and that is the most important driver of the obesity epidemic
So rube your position is that even though you have said repeatedly that "food is too cheap" it would be unfair to conclude that you think it should be more expensive?
I anxiously await your attempt to explain the difference between believing something is "too cheap" and believing "the price should be raised"...
One little word... one little word missing... oh FGS.
But anyway

Watching you try to explain the difference between thinking something is too cheap and thinking it should be more expensive would have been much more amusing ...
One of the things about arguing with rube is that it's almost impossible to have less knowledge on any subject or less effective debate skills than he does, so nearly anyone can come out the winner...
The guy is an addict. Having depression and anxiety will cause people to seek relief. Perhaps when he was younger, had he gone to a doctor and told him of his "problems" there may have been some treatment. Anyway, the depressed and anxiety ridden will find releif on their own. Many turn to drugs and/or alcohol. This guy turned to food. And as with any addicted person, the cost of their "solution" does not matter. They will find a way just like any other addict. I have lived it and have seen it in the meetings. We will find a way to get our relief.
If a big mac costs $100 we will swithc to something cheaper and eat more of it if need be.
And if ALL food were more expensive, perhaps he woudl have only ballooned to 600lbs. Still enormous by any measure.

So what else did you have planned for the weekend?
