Rattle and hum of Hasidic Jew was Bono on bike
HOW did U2 frontman Bono escape notice when he crashed his bicycle last month? He was in disguise, his bandmate said at the weekend.
“When he’s going cycling, he likes to dress up as a Hasidic Jew, so I think that probably helped,” The Edge told a radio interviewer in Los Angeles.
Hasidic Jewish men, who are a common sight in New York, generally wear dark suits and brimmed hats and maintain facial hair. The Edge said Bono was wearing a helmet. U2 guitarist The Edge had been asked why no pictures emerged when Bono — one of the world’s most recognisable singers — suffered a serious accident in New York’s Central Park.
The Edge said that Bono showed the band his X-rays and that his shattered bones “looked like a miniature Eiffel Tower”. The Irish superstars played a surprise show on Monday in New York to support efforts to fight HIV-Aids. Bono was absent, with Bruce Springsteen and Coldplay’s Chris Martin filling in.

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

So earnest and sincere. Still, I thought I'd check again . . .

No, U2 frontman Bono does not dress up a Hasidic Jew when he rides his bike around New York, despite what you may have heard to the contrary.
Reports zoomed around numerous news outlets Thursday that the Irish rock star donned ultra-Orthodox garb to disguise himself during rides, after bandmate The Edge seemed to say as much during a radio interview a day earlier.
However, a spokesman for Bono confirmed to The Times of Israel that The Edge was definitely joking.

I think a Hassid on a bicycle would be a rare sighting.

Especially in Manhattan. (Certainly would be more rare than a Bono sighting.) In Brooklyn, though, it could happen:oldr_n_wsr wrote:I think a Hassid on a bicycle would be a rare sighting.
