From the link:
It was a pretty awesome sing-along, and after starting with Randy Newman at the piano and Jon Stewart walking out onstage, it just kept getting better with the addition of each group of guests.
ETA:
I'm wondering if they all hung around for an after-party, because with a guest list like that, it could be one hell of an event.
Oh, how could you??!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?Correction: The original version of this post misidentified Barry Manilow as Rod Stewart.

I scrolled to the end and skipped the comments, because I haven't yet watched the show - I watch it a day late, on Hulu.
I'm going out to see some friends, then I'll be back to watch it. There will be tears in bigskygal's house tonight; I'm happy for Mr. Colbert's next great adventure, but I LOVED this show and will miss it to my core.
eta: There is a silver lining; I didn't have television for most of the past 9 years, so I've missed the great majority of TCR episodes. I can start watching them on iTunes as my treadmill entertainment - bonus is that I get to relive the W years during the ramp up to Jeb,
eta: WOW, great sign off!

I really hate Barry's "new" nose (it must be 20+ years old now). He took all the interesting character out of his face.

Well it's a good match for his "entertaining" then, ain't it just?
