This *finally* put me into the mood, anyway

Post by Guinevere »

One more day of work tomorrow, and then we are going away for Christmas for the first time ever --- relaxing and chilling and sleeping and reading and swimming and movies and whatever takes our fancy --- but no cooking/cleaning/dishes/laundry or work. Cannot wait!

Merry Christmas, y'all!!

Sounds like a great time - hope it's all you expect and more! Merry Christmas and don't think of this place even for a moment :D

Sounds grand, where are you going?

Hi there, rubato! See the OP is written by Guin - not "he" at all, you goose!

Your playful badinage is a lifeline in my ocean of despair

I envy you that Guin...Kelly and I would really like to do a Christmas like that...(Maybe a Christmas Cruise, just the four of us...no cooking, no dishes, no extended family drama, just pure relaxation...)

But we're still going to be doing home bound Christmases a little longer...

Otherwise, how will Santa find us to leave his presents? 8-)

"he" being David Letterman who got Darlene Love instead. A fairly obvious reference.

So, he "got" Darlene Love... I did not know that. A bit crude but all knowledge is valid. Truly,

I think rubato was making joke -- but could y'all please leave your spitting *out* of my happy thread. Thanks much!

Given the constraints of kids, Santa, and a Mom who isn't up for much travel, we aren't going as far as I'd like ---- just down to Hershey PA to stay at the resort there. They have a ton of Christmas activities and sights, a gorgeous spa, pools, gyms, sauna, restaurants, the park is open after Christmas for a couple of days, and, of course, Chocolate World! It's also close enough to my Maryland family that Mom will get to see her siblings -- most of whom who have not seen her since her first CICU stint in January -- which is a terrific bonus.

I cannot WAIT!!

For change tho is the first year in a long time that my Christmas spirit hasn't been beaten out of me. I think the storyline I've set up for my sons present to his mom might have a little to do with it.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

If you had played the link all would have been obvious. Darlene Love was a guest on David Letterman's TV show. David Letterman is male hence the appropriate use of the male pronoun.

Oh I'm *always* in the mood around him

Holidays are separate family time, usually. That's ok, we manage to figure it out.
