Sarah Palin has sparked outrage by posting pictures on Facebook of her son standing on her dog.
The former Alaska governor described the three images of her six-year-old son Trig using the black Labrador for a stepping stool as 'a symbol of perseverance'.
But the message was met with an instant tirade of anger, with people branding Palin irresponsible.

Palin? Irresponsible? Never!!!
Palin? Irresponsible? Never!!!
“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”
Re: Palin? Irresponsible? Never!!!
Proof that Sarah Palin is a prejudiced bigot brained KKK member!!!!
She would never had let her son stand on a white dog. The fact that the dog seems to not be affected by the boy is evidence that black dogs know their place in Alaska and accept the fact that they are black.
Typical night with Sarah Palin and her disguised racist husband dressed up to go out for the evening....

Yeah, the dog looks like he's suffering terribly...Somebody call Animal Rescue....
I ain't a Palin fan, but those who got their "outrage sparked" over this must have outrage that consists of extremely dry tinder...

That's definitely not healthy for the dog, even if the dog will tolerate it.

I think it's a symbolic representation of overcoming depression
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
Re: Palin? Irresponsible? Never!!!
I think it's merely the musings of a proud mother watching her disabled son figure out how to overcome an obstacle.
But it's pretty reprehensible that she's letting him stand on a living creature long enough to take photos, and not teaching him immediately that standing on an unstable surface, in a way that could cause pain to the dog and/or himself, is a no-no.
By the way, since when did you get an exemption from the use of end punctuation?

PS - I *do* get this; I just had some other stuff to say about Ms. Palin's stupidity in neglecting her child's welfare, and about her meanness to her dog - AND I was being a smart ass!MajGenl.Meade wrote:I think it's a symbolic representation of overcoming depression

Trig is the one with Down's syndrome, aka trisomy 21.
The dog is well able to object and refuse service if he chooses to do so. It is a tribute to the sweet temper of Labradors that he is so long-suffering.

Not a good habit to get in to -- not every dog will tolerate that and its not good for the animal's spine.
Yes, the lab is a gentle dog and will let its people do almost anything. That doesn't mean you should.

He has Down's syndrome. 'should' is past the point.Guinevere wrote:Not a good habit to get in to -- not every dog will tolerate that and its not good for the animal's spine.

Palin and her family have done and said enough dumb things that we don't need to manufacture them out of so little.
It is just depressing that she and Ted Nugent are heroes of the right-wing. Can't we FORCE the red states to improve education some way?
