$1.98/gal. on 1/14/15 in south central Montana.

It's nice, I have to say! :ok

Even with the Canadian dollar tanking in response to the collapsing price of oil, price dropped below 90 cents Cdn per litre for the first time in about 10 years (when Cdn dollar was substantially stronger). On the downside, the cruise I am taking next November is costing 10% more than when I booked it a month ago. I told my travel agent to get the balance billed to my credit card now rather than wait for the loonie to drop even more by August when it is due.

How is the Canadian dollar vs the U.S. dollar? (if you know) the last time I was over it was stronger that combined with the taxes (no longer refundable) was made Canada cost prohibitive for the "quick trip".
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

This morning $1 Cdn = 84.43 cents U.S. ($1 U.S. = $1.1844 Cdn)

As is typically the case in these circumstances, it only showing weakness vis-à-vis the U.S. dollar. It is up in the last few weeks against almost every other major currency (because the U.S., dollar is up against EVERYTHING).

The two economies are so interwoven that I am surprised it has varied this much. I can understand the recent increase of the CN dollar, 2008- 2012, since they avoided the real estate bust by having more effective regulation of the mortgage and banking businesses but I don't know what happened 1990 - 2002 to drive it the other way.

$1.75 last night at Sheetz, Kent. They still are at 1.97 in nearby Streetsboro!?

Also the Kent Gulf had 1.69 but it was a zoo so I skipped the opportunity to queue up

It's about the price of oil and to some degree other commodities. If you superimposed graphs of oil prices and the Cdn $ they would correlate very closely.

Paid $1.89/gal today. Filled an empty tank for $30.

Hope we don't end up bankrupting Canadia as a byproduct of crashing the Rooshin economy. Hold tight, Scooter & Beer Sponge!

There's a huge price range in 'Frisco now..:

http://www.sanfrangasprices.com/GasPriceSearch.aspx

That 76 station on Taraval where it's 2.78 is where I usually go just out of convenience, but the Gas and Shop at Junipero Serra Blvd & 19th Ave where it's 2.45 a gallon is only about five minutes further away, so I think I'll start going there...

1959 was a very good year.

Not a great year for me...

Spent the first part of it held captive in some sort of tank filled with goo, and then after that was over, some sadistic freak wearing a mask held me naked upside down and smacked me on the ass...

And then for the rest of the year I couldn't walk, I couldn't talk, and I could barely see...
