The Colts' luck ran out too soon.

One. More. Win!

No chance.... the Seattle Seahawks are too much for Mr. B and the Hoodie, both!

And she came to look for me
Sold me name and innocence
Took my key
And told me to follow her down
From igor with her bangles and her reference
One from the church from the valley christ
Well she wanted a haven and a place to hide
So I gave her an alibi took her inside but

And a rock and a hard place await for for me
Between the devil and the deep blue sea
Everything I ever did right or wrong
Hid out of sight where I belong, belong

And I didn't have the heart to tell her why
And there wasn't a part of me that
Didn't want to say goodbye but

'Cause and effect go hand in hand with
The devil may care but I don't mind
And I thought she'd never quite understand so I
Left her there that night

But will she find me? I don't think so, no
When you go, you go alone and I'm gone
Far away, far away
Far away, far away

And I didn't have the heart to tell why
And there wasn't a part of me
That didn't want to say goodbye but

A rock and a hard place await for for me
Between the devil and the deep blue sea
Everything I ever did right or wrong
Hid out of sight where I belong, belong

Between the devil and the deep blue sea

A rock and a hard place await for for me
Between the devil and the deep blue sea

So goes the conventional wisdom, MGM. I disagree for several reasons:

1. There is nothing harder than repeating as champions. Even if you make the title game.

2. Tommy and Belichick are on an incredible roll this season and the team is in top form. They are a tad less beat up than Seattle.

3. The odds are a pick 'em. Even the pros can't decide.

4. Glendale. Site of the Pats most painful and humiliating defeat ever. That's motivation in and of itself.

5. Brady wants #4 sooooo badly.

6. Last meeting of the teams - 24/23 Seattle in Seattle. 2013.

7. Never ever underestimate the power of the hoodie.

I'd be a fool to say I was confident, but I do know the Pats have the ability and capacity to win, with Tommy leading the way. That's good enough for me!

I was rooting for the Packers, (because they eliminated Dallas) but between the Seahawks and Patriots my view is one of supreme indifference...

Though I do expect it will be a pretty evenly matched game.

Personally, I was hoping for none of the above, as I hate seeing repeat appearances or hearing talk of dynasties. But in a pinch, I always fall back on my NFC (NFL) routes and support the NFC team, however half heartedly. And with pretty evenly matched teams, maybe we will get a good game.

Did the Patriots Cheat? New England Could Lose Draft Picks Over Something NFL Officials Noticed Sunday Night

They took the wind out of Andrew Luck’s sails — but did they also drain some air from the balls?

The New England Patriots wrecked the Indianapolis Colts Sunday evening, winning 45-7 and securing their place against the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLIX.

But NFL officials are now investigating whether the Patriots drained air from footballs to make them easier to handle in Sunday’s windy conditions.

It’s not an unheard-of tactic — in 2012, USC was fined for deflating balls.

Bob Kravitz, reporter with Indianapolis station WTHR-TV, tweeted about the investigation early Monday morning, saying the Patriots could lose draft picks if they’re found guilty of ball tampering.

Frankly I got the impression watching that game that it was the Colts who were playing with deflated balls...

And poor losers are going to whine. The story comes from, you guessed it, Indianapolis. Just like the bs last weekend about the "illegal" play - it was not, btw. The Hoodie and the rest of the Patriots just understood the rules better than B'more's supposedly wunderkid coach.

Yeah, but the NFL is conducting an investigation, and it's not like this would be the Pat's (or Belichick's) debut at trying to gain an "extra-legal" edge:
The Patriots are no stranger to controversy. In 2007, the team was punished for videotaping sideline signals used by the New York Jets during a 2007 game, in a controversy that became known as "Spygate." Belichick was fined $500,000, [the largest fine ever imposed on an NFL coach]and the team was docked $250,000 and stripped of its 2008 first-round draft pick.

ETA:

However, I definitely do agree that when you lose 45-7, it would be kind ridiculous to argue that you lost because of deflated footballs...

You lost because of a deflated offense and defense....

I asked @hub, who played football until he was well into his late 30's, and who actually gives a rat's rear about the whole thing, what would be the fuss over an advantage with a deflated ball-wouldn't it in fact be an equal advantage since they were playing with the same ball. He said the difference was if one team practiced with a deflated ball and was used to it. (i think it's sour grape-y though.)

Regulations require that all balls for play go into league officials' custody at least 2 hours before game time, and remain there for the duration of the game.

What's the point in having such a requirement if the league officials don't double check the inflation and other conditions of the balls?

IF it's true, isn't the NFL to blame?
