And that's worse than them basing thier vote on lining their pockets or their friends pockets or any number of other reasons they vote a certain way? i would rather my rep vote on his convictions/doctrine/morality than on greed or "one hand washes the other".Meade, by "legislative action" I mean both lobbying of legislatures and actions of individual legislators who either introduce, sponsor, or vote for legislation based on their RC doctrine.
Who doesn't lobby legislators for their own purpose?
Where they get their views doesn't really matter does it?
People/corporations/groups/etc. lobby for what they want from the gov be it money (grants), favorable tax breaks, government contracts ..... I could go on. If people of the Catholic faith want thier representative to vote (or propose a bill) a certain way, it is their right to do that. Many people will oppose that bill, many will not care and many will support. Such is with any piece of legislation regardless of how the writer of said legislation got their "idea" for it.
