Carhackers...

Post by Joe Guy »

Did anyone see 60 minutes last Sunday (2/8/14))? In a segment about computer hacking they showed how even your refrigerator can be hacked. They also demonstrated how someone's car can be controlled by a hacker from anywhere in the world.

They showed Leslie Stahl driving a hacked car. A guy with a laptop was able to turn on the windshield wipers, honk the horn, control the accelerator, and yes, he was able to make Leslie Stall... :P

It won't be long until we lose complete control of our lives to the MOTU.

Here's the youtube video. The subject of hacking is the first segment. The part about the car is at about 8:39. Note: This video may not remain active on youtube for long because it is violating CBS's copyright.

There is a free podcast of the show available - audio only, however.

If they hack my car, any chance they can get the CD player to work properly?
