If Jeb can maintain the familal "I'm not going to say anything bad about my brother but you can tell by my voice that I think he's an idiot" voice throughout the campaign he might have a chance.

Hillary needs to hurry up and announce her intentions, especially if there is any chance she's not actually going to run. If that's the deal, other candidates need the time to organize given the outrageous cost of running a Presidential campaign post-Citizens United.

I don't love Hillary, but I can't stand the idea of another Bush son in the White House. The father was tolerable, but his offspring are privileged idiots.

And I want to see the first woman President before I die. So,

Probably not, but he thinks he has. I kind of think he will fizzle out like Fred Thompson did.

Ol Fred never gained enough heat to fizzle.

It'll be interesting to see how much money he can raise with Jeb in the race and Scott Walker getting all the current media buzz...

Walker simply does not appeal to independents. Unless he can change that he has no chance of winning in the general election. And theoy way be an do that is by shedding his culture warrior persona and that will cost him a lot of his base.

I think that's wrong. Walker must be able to appeal to independents or there's no way he could have won state wide in Wisconsin three times, (most recently just this past November) it's been a while since Wisconsin went Republican in a national election.

In fact electability is one of his strongest selling points, which is part of why his success hurts Christie who has also tried to make that argument.

Also the polls indicate that Walker is one of the few candidates with cross-over appeal with both Tea Party types and Establishment Republicans. (Rubio's another one) The reason he gets a good reception with the hard right base isn't so much social issues, (which he's never stressed the way, Santorum kept insisting on doing) as the way he has stood up to (and prevailed over) the public sector unions. (Something I certainly don't find unappealing about him) If it hadn't been for the reputation he got for doing that, he would probably be perceived as a pure establishment candidate.

Jeb is my first pick, I think he can run the strongest race, but I certainly think Walker could be formidable in a general election against Hillary as well.

Tell that to Harry Reid. Walker does great at energizing his base. Which can be enough in state elections where the opposition party is great at nominating party hacks who barely energize their own base let alone independents.heck you can even do that in national elections (see Bush-Kerry, and to a lesser extent Obama-Romney) but this is shaping up to be a race where both sides are going to have to grab the middle to win.

wow, did bigsky really say that she is with Hillary because she is a woman?

i have to admit that the more i see carson, the more i like him. walker and Kasich i also like.

bush and Clinton are non starters for me

i like webb on the dem side

i think that cruz is the stereotypical demon who demagogues his way into dictatorship in a fantasy novel

Christie is about as appealing as a pitbull owned by Michael vick

i actually liked biden about a jillion yrs ago

i don t know why perry is running, he seems nice but not really up to the job

Rubio just worries me, i don t know why

What, pray tell, is wrong with that?

I wouldn't vote for Condi Rice just because she's a woman - I loathe her values.

I don't love Hillary, but she's my choice over any Republican candidate. If Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren ran and had a real chance of winning, I'd back one of them. But I'm pragmatic about our corrupt political system, and in a choice between two evils, Hillary's the lesser of and . . .

YES, I want to see a woman President in my lifetime!! There is NOTHING wrong with that!

well, I ve thought about it and I may have some idea as to why Rubio worries me. it involves cuba, and the feeling that some in the American Cuban community have some blood feuds that they will settle if the castro regime fails. he seems to have a bit of vendetta in his eyes when he speaks of cuba....
