Woman shot in the back of head in road rage incident after she honked car horn at driver

A woman was shot in the head by another driver after she honked her car horn at him yesterday morning.

Kay Hafford, 28, was trying to join the motorway during rush-hour traffic in Houston, Texas, when she sounded her horn at a white SUV car as the driver had cut her off. She was on her way to work at around 7am.

The driver then pulled up to her vehicle after an angry exchange of words, wound down his window and shot the back of her head once through the glass pane on her right-hand side near Richey Road.

Mrs Hafford, a church soloist, was able to keep calm and pull over to the side of the motorway to call emergency services – who arrived within 15 minutes.

She remains in a stable condition in the Texas Medical Centre with bullet fragments in the bottom right side of her brain. Doctors have said that she does not need major surgery.

Her husband Kendrick Hafford, also a musician, told click2houston that the man shot his wife because she refused to wind her window down to talk to him after he was abusive.

He said: “She let him know, by blowing her horn, that he shouldn’t have cut her off, and the guy went to let his window down, and of course, she didn’t let her window down.

“That’s when he proceeded to shoot her.”

Mr Hafford also said that it is a “miracle” that the bullet did not cause more damage than it already has to his partner’s health, in a video report by abc13.

Police are now looking for the suspect – who the victim says wore a blue baseball cap – and are searching through surveillance footage for any clues.

Yet another example of why it's always a good idea to have a gun all the time, because you just never know when you'll need to shoot a lady driver in the head! If only she had been armed, too, she could have shot back! They could have had a real shoot-out right there in rush-hour traffic! For freedom! And constitutional rights! And standing your traffic lane!

Bacon!! I want BACON!!! BACON!!!!
A jury today found a Michigan woman guilty of firing a shot into a McDonald’s drive-thru window after employees failed to put bacon on a cheeseburger she ordered.

Shaneka Monique Torres, 30, was convicted of a felony firearms charge after only an hour of deliberations by the panel. Torres, seen at right, faces a minimum of two years in state prison when she is sentenced next month.

Torres fired a single shot into the McDonald’s at 3:10 AM last February 10, according to Grand Rapids police. The gunplay came after Torres and another woman “complained that the order was incorrect,” cops noted.

When a McDonald’s employee walked away from the drive-thru window, “one shot was fired from the suspect vehicle,” reported police, who added that the bullet entered the eatery at “head level” and “traveled through the window, across the dining room, and exited the restaurant through another window on the east side of the restaurant.”

Shortly after the shooting--which did not result in any injuries--cops located Torres and recovered the 9mm Glock handgun used during the bacon rage incident.

Some people should not be allowed to own cars, guns, eat bacon or vote. Good judgment should be a requirement for citizenship.
Soon, I’ll post my farewell message. The end is starting to get close. There are many misconceptions about me, and before I go, to live with my ancestors on the steppes, I want to set the record straight.

I heard it happened (they forgot the bacon) TWICE! That's surely good cause for shooting someone!

eta:
A bacon-crazed Michigan woman faces prison for shooting up a McDonald’s after workers screwed up her order.

Shaneka Torres allegedly said “Bitch, you don’t know who you’re talking to,” before she fired into the drive-thru window of the Grand Rapids fast food spot.

Jurors took just an hour on Wednesday to convict Torres in the February 2014 shooting, MLive.com reported.

Torres had twice tried to get a bacon cheeseburger before she went on the McWarpath.

She complained when the first sandwich arrived sans bacon, and McDonald’s promised make it up to her with a free one next time she came in.

So Torres returned a few hours later to collect.

She seemed like she was in a good mood, slipping a handsome cashier her number before she moved on to pick up the makeup meal, MLive reported.

But she soured quickly when workers shorted her once again on the promised pig strips.

Kent County prosecutors claimed Torres hopped in a car with her friend, pulled a handgun out of her purse and squeezed off a round.

The bullet shattered the drive-thru window, narrowly missing a worker who’d ducked away seconds earlier to pick up another burger.

She faces at least seven years in prison on felony gun charges, MLive reported.
TWICE she was denied the PIG STRIPS!! TWICE!!!!

I prefer to run folks off the road and watch them roll down an embankment when they honk at me, rather than shoot. I mean, if you shoot them the horn might still work.

That's because the burger had no bacon and it was cold too...

I had no idea a simple typo could be so amusing... 8-)

In fact they might slump over on the steering wheel and honk the damn horn continuously...

Sounds like your approach is better....

A gunman killed a woman in front of her 12-year-old son after the pair laughed at him while in their car, officials said. Hawthorne police later fatally shot the gunman.

Denise Berry was driving in Hawthorne with her son about 12.40pm on Wednesday local time when he pointed out the shooter's feet were hanging out of a car window and said "that's kind of funny," said Lieutenant Dave Coleman of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

The mother and son shared a chuckle. At some point, the boy made eye contact with the shooter.

"That's not a reason to go out and murder someone," Coleman told the Los Angeles Times.

The shooter continued driving and followed Berry's Mercedes-Benz until she spotted a Hawthorne police officer, according to the sheriff's department.

The 44-year-old mother of three told the officer he was following them. The officer asked Berry to pull her car in front of his police cruiser so he could help her.

That's when the Cadillac pulled next to her, and the shooter, identified as 38-year-old Robert Washington, began firing at Berry and her son, the sheriff's department said.

The officer jumped out of his patrol car and fired at Washington, killing him.

Berry was struck by the gunfire and died. Her son was shot, but was able to run away. He was in stable condition at a hospital.

"He watched his mother murdered in front of him," Coleman said. "That's horrific."

Stanley White, 24, and Brandon White, 19, who were passengers in Washington's vehicle, also were arrested, sheriff's officials said.

Thank the Lord for the Second Amendment and the guaranteed right to own guns! If only she had had her gun at the ready, too! But fortunately there was "a good guy with a gun" right there for her protection, so tragedy averted!

Wait, what?

This country is sick sick sick.

What does it take?

If Newtown wasn't enough to change people's minds, to give the cowards some spine, I cannot imagine (nor do I want to). But I'm getting closer and closer to joining you on the "repeal the second amendment" bandwagon.

I think repealing NRA would be sufficient. (Or at least the leadership)
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.
