Re: First clown into the car!
I was shocked to find 19% agreement with Demonrats. But only 4% with the Greens - you old treehugging pinko, LJ!
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
Re: First clown into the car!
I didn't expect as much agreement with the repubs (or the greens for that matter) either, but just remember, just because a position is held by (insert detested party name), doesn't mean it is wrong.
Re: First clown into the car!
Dear god, no wonder no sensible vote is possible there, your parties have it all wrong!

Don't vote for him...

You could not make this shit up on the wildest LSD trip:
And before the howling starts about Cruz being required to use the exchange as a member of Congress, he didn't have to use the exchange when covered under his wife's insurance through her employer, and he wouldn't have to use it if his wife went out and shopped independently for a plan that covered him now. He is using the exchange because he knows that it is the best option for his family, regardless of any bullshit spin that anyone tries to come up with.Ted Cruz, one of the loudest critics of Obamacare, will soon be using it for health insurance coverage.
"We will presumably go on the exchange and sign up for health care, and we're in the process of transitioning over to do that," Cruz, a Republican candidate for president, told The Des Moines Register on Tuesday.
Cruz's wife, Heidi, is going on an unpaid leave of absence from her job at Goldman Sachs to join Cruz full time on the campaign trail, Cruz told the Register.
Bloomberg was first to report that Heidi Cruz has taken the leave. CNN noted that Cruz, who has boasted about not needing to receive government health care benefits, would no longer be covered under his wife's health insurance plan.
Cruz confirmed that to the Register.

"I am running for president to return our country to the principles of liberty and limited government."—Rand Paul
Paul is actually running for two offices at the same time, trying to hold onto his Senate seat while also running for president. Kentucky's election laws say candidates can't appear on a ballot twice, but with reluctant support from McConnell, a Kentucky powerhouse, the state's GOP will likely change its presidential preference vote from a primary to a caucus. That would allow Paul to get around the rule.

Elect Rand Paul, for the safety of your dick pix!!!!!!!!11!!1! (Apparently, John Oliver was right.)
GAH!
Re: First clown into the car!
I see that Paul ended his announcement speech with a stirring promise, "to go boldly forth" clutching "the Constitution in one hand and the Bill of Rights in the other,"...
Gee whiz, you'd think a fella who beats his chest about the Constitution as much as he does would know that The Bill Of Rights (otherwise known as the first 10 Amendments to the Constitution) is actually part of The Constitution...
So I guess what Paul is really promising to do (since he's going to hold part of it in one hand and part of it in the other) is to rip the Constitution in two...

Also too, the "endorsements" on his web page were apparently from stock-photo Germans, who are not even real U.S. Americans.

I'm very excited about RP running. He's the only "Republican" with the balls to openly denounce large parts of Republican orthodoxy. Maybe he'll pick up a few votes and act as a role model for others so they don't all have to conform to an idiotic set of failed policies. Maybe one day we'll see a Republican presidential contender who isn't an echo chamber for stupid?

No, for that he'd need a law degree...Guinevere wrote:Oh come ON, he has an M.D., doesn't that make him a god?

RAND PAUL: OUT OF THIS WORLD

There is a hollowness in Paul's gaze that is palpable and distressing to me. I feel he suffers from some deep seated psychological problems and will, at some point, crack under pressure. His theopolitical ideology aside, he just doesn't appear trustworthy.
With Cruz, Paul, and Rubio (soon to be in the mix,) Jeb Bush appears to be the preordained nominee for the protracted, dog-and-pony show to the House of White.
I feel strongly that 2016 is for the Democrats to lose -- as long as it's anyone but Hillary. She'll prove to be my party's kryptonite if she gets the nod. She needs to pack up her Lululemon pantsuits and go home.

No no. Lawyers and God like to play doctor. Rand Paul is an ophthalmologist with board certification -- the board being himself, his wife and his father-in-law. So as part of the Trinity, yes, a god of a sort.Lord Jim wrote:No, for that he'd need a law degree...Guinevere wrote:Oh come ON, he has an M.D., doesn't that make him a god?

Exactly.
And wow, what a liar/fraud. That article should be required reading for anyone considering supporting him.
