That's a good point, the question was so vaguely worded that I'm sure you're right that some percentage of that 30% interpreted it that way.when people are asked that question they may have same-sex marriage on the brain, and when are asked if same-sex "relations" should be legal, some portion of that 30% are thinking they are being asked about same-sex marriage, rather than more generally about sex between gays and/or lesbians.
But, but but...it's the FAGS that are persecuting Christians

I'd give you max of 15% of it being criminal I think it's a bit high but there are still a fair amount that think it a choice and a subset of those that think it's done as a personal affront to them/God. And think totally warped things like "it would be like a gift to them since that stuff happens there anyway". But I think you'd be hard pressed to find more than a couple million that favored capital punishment. Unlike Jim I think the number could easily touch 250,000 and could easily quadruple depending on their proximity to the Kool-aidScooter wrote: Perhaps, rather than using using euphemisms, pollsters should be coming right out and asking if gay and lesbian sex should be criminal (i.e. implying, at the least, imprisonment as a possible penalty). I think the number would be lower, but would still be somewhere in the range of 10-20%.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

I think you may have me confused with Meade on this point...Unlike Jim I think the number could easily touch 250,000 and could easily quadruple depending on their proximity to the Kool-aid
I've seen enough polls where people support and/or believe all kinds of crazy things to not have a huge problem thinking that there could be as many as a million people who would be so toxiclly hateful as to support executing gays. (Obviously almost none of them would actually act on that belief)
In a country of 330 million people, it takes less than one third of one percent to get to a million.

Yep got you confused with Meade sorry.

It's an easy mistake to make.
I thought I was being generous (if that's the word) to say that 32,000 USians might, just might, think that it's OK to legislate execution for men who stick their dicks up each other's arseholes.
I can scarcely believe even one (sane) person thinks that execution for a moral offense is at all in bounds. What next - death for adultery? divorce? fornication? <spit>

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
Re: But, but but...it's the FAGS that are persecuting Christ
That may be the case of people who would openly admit to it. I'm constantly surprised by those who thinking they are in "safe" company say shit like "It's getting a little "dark" around here".
