Royal baby: Catherine gives birth to a girl

London (CNN)It's a princess!

That was the happy news on Saturday morning, after the Duchess of Cambridge -- the British royal also known as Catherine -- gave birth to her second child.

The little girl came into the world at 8:34 a.m. (3:34 a.m. ET) Saturday at London's St. Mary's Hospital, Kensington Palace announced. She weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces.

"Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well," the palace tweeted.

Simply by virtue of being born, the newborn girl is fourth in line for the throne. That's behind her grandfather Charles, the Prince of Wales; her father, William, who was with his wife at the hospital; and her big brother, Prince George, who was born in July 2013.

The rest of the royal family -- including Queen Elizabeth II, the Prince of Wales and Prince Harry -- learned of the delivery shortly before the public did, via Twitter. This was before a smiling William left the hospital just after 3:50 p.m., waving to reporters before getting in a Range Rover and driving away.

He came back a few minutes later with George, and the two headed into the hospital. George didn't stay long before heading back out, the palace tweeted.

After waving to onlookers, the royal couple and their newborn daughter left the hospital around 6:15 p.m. then drove off to meet their son at Kensington Palace.

How so?
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

Perfect family, good looking parents, one of each kids*, perfect Royal presentation for the coming 30 years or so. Chas and the hag won't get a look in, Liz will skip them.

*Ok, so these days you'd need at least 7 kids to have "one of each", but you get my drift...

I'd like that to be the case, but is that her call?

Also even if it is, she's such a strong traditionalist, I doubt she'd do that to Chuck...

And I sincerely doubt that he has the strength of character to do it himself...

She weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces.
So, in the usual quaint English parlance, that'd be 0.58482142857 stone, then?

Charlotte Elizabeth Diana is name of new royal baby

Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge have named their newborn daughter Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, Kensington Palace has announced.

The princess is the couple's second child. She is the fifth great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II and the fourth in line to the throne, after her grandfather Charles, her father William and her older brother George.

The baby will be known as Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, royal officials said Monday.

Charlotte, the feminine form of Charles, appears to be a nod to the newborn's grandfather, Prince Charles. The middle names honour Queen Elizabeth II, the infant's 89-year-old great-grandmother, and the late Princess Diana, William's mother.

Nice (although I would have preferred Charlotte Diana Elizabeth, but with great-granny being the Queen and all, I get it . . .)!

Will they call her baby Charlie?

So she's the Princess of Cambridge? Does that make Cambridge a princessapality?
