Anyone seen the movie? An American woman who claims to be an "ambassador for God" has filed a lawsuit against all the world's gay people for allegedly breaking religious law.
Sylvia Ann Driskell laid out her case in a neatly-handwritten seven-page document filed with a federal court in Nebraska. The 66-year-old asks the judge to rule on the question of whether homosexuality "is a sin or not a sin". Mrs Driskell is clear of her own position on the matter, writing that "the homosexuals know it is a sin to live a life of homosexuality".
She titles herself as "Sylvia Ann Driskell, Ambassador for the Plaintiffs, God, And His Son Jesus Christ". The lawsuit is simply filed against "Homosexuals".
Mrs Driskell quotes extensively from the bible as she warns that Nebraska and the United States are "besieged by sin". "I'm 66 years old and I never thought that I would see the day in which our great nation or our great state of Nebraska would become so compliant of some people's lewd behaviour," she wrote. The suit appears to be in response to a case before the Supreme Court which will decide whether to extend marriage rights to gay people across the entire US.
Her lawsuit was met with amusement by gay rights advocates, including the prominent sex advice columnist Dan Savage.

“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”
Re: The woman who sued (for) God
No, but I feel safe in saying that her "lawsuit" is every bit as significant as the guy who ponied up $200 to file his "kill all the gays" initiative out here in The Altered State...Anyone seen the movie?

Re: The woman who sued (for) God
If god appears as a witness, who will he swear by when he's sworn in? Might be a conflict of interest to swear by himself. Same for Jesus if he is called.

Re: The woman who sued (for) God
That reminds me of a great scene from the cult classic movie The Ruling Class, when Jack Arnold Alexander Tancred Gurney, 14th Earl of Gurney (played brilliantly by Peter O'Toole) who believes himself to be Jesus Christ, is sworn in to give testimony :
"Do you swear that the evidence you are about to give is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?"
Jack: "So help me me"

Jack: "So help me me"

WHAT A THEOLOGICAL CONUNDRUM
Can God create a subpoena so patently absurd that even he cannot ignore it?
God bless most of America!
