Historic Election
Alberta Provincial Election 2015
This is really interesting, and has potential ramifications across Canada, both economically and politically. Interesting times!

ok beer sponge, I ll bite. I took a quick look at your link but soon realized that I was clueless about Canadian politics.
so, break it down for me, in a nutshell, why this is a historic election. (no, I don t write "an historic", that s just silly)
do you guys still use paper ballots and count them by hand? I approve heartily if so.

IIRC, I think they use a hammer & moose antler to engrave their votes on to a granite ballot...wesw wrote: do you guys still use paper ballots and count them by hand? I approve heartily if so.

Re: Historic Election
Well, this election was historic because it is the first time since 1917 that Albertans have elected a left of center government, and was also the end of 44 years of the Progressive Conservative party rule. Regarding the ballots, yes, they are paper, and hand counted.

Excellent signature, Beer Sponge!

Thank you! It is by no means an endorsement of his presidency, but of the man. He has done a lot of excellent work post presidency, and for that I have a great deal of respect for him.
