nice guys finish first.... mike rowe

Post by wesw »

. I don t know him but he seems really nice, and he is everywhere. he does all these dirty jobs with a smile and a joke, and he narrates every show on TV , it seems. I have even heard his voice slightly altered in some shows , so that it seems to be someone else, but its him. he is everywhere.

good on him

A Baltimore guy! He grew up around the corner from my parents - my Mom knows his Mom. And his grandparents knew my grandparents. But I don't ever recall meeting him as a kid when I was at my grandmothers. He is just that much older than I am that our paths never crossed.

Mike Rowe definitely has a very high likeability factor, which has made him pretty much ubiquitous on the tube...

From his "job" shows, to The Deadliest Catch to his commercials, to his narrations, (he's even done an astronomy series) he's pretty much everywhere...

I obviously don't know him personally, but he certainly comes across as a very genuine, "normal" likeable guy; the sort of person you'd want to have a beer with, or have over to watch a football game, or would trust to watch your kids...

I don't mean to be cynical, (he may genuinely be that kind of person, I have no reason to believe he isn't; he also comes across that way in interviews) but it's certainly also true that having that kind of persona creates a very high "trust factor" that makes him marketing gold, which is why you see so much of him....

He was/is an opera singer and has a website that promotes blue collar jobs/skilled labor. I thinks it's called mikeroweworks.com but I can't get there, it's blocked.

If a large swell of support for Mr Rowe were to rise and push forward, would it be called a Mike Rowe Wave?

Better idea...

Pence appoints Rowe VP after Trump is removed/resigns before he completes one term... :ok
