Ok, so it was inevitable that sometime the CSB was going to have a link to here.

Now, courtesy of Kiko, that has been done.

This board has functioned well so far, and been an enjoyable experience, drawing in many long lost friends, and being civilised, affable, and fun.

Whatever happens from here on in, is up to us.

We've kept the CSB out of discussions here, and there has been no back stabbing or snide remarks.

BUT, there have some strong feelings between members of the CSB, and I do not think we would gain anything from having that rancour brought here instead of it remaining there.

We'll see who signs up, we'll see what they bring.

Well, what's done is done. It was, as you say, inevitable.

There WILL be a concerted effort to poison the atmosphere here. It doesn't have to work if the perpetrators are completely frozen out by non-response.

I think a couple of the (relatively speaking) saner minds running the show over there will see the establishment of this place as some sort of "victory" for them and will be content with the fact that we will no longer be pressing for changes over there. One or two of the more unhinged among them will not be satisfied with that and will come here looking for trouble. Let's not get sucked into it anymore, either here or there. I confess to yielding to temptation tonight for the first time since registeing here, and making a smart comment over there which was one in a series that probably egged Kiko into this revelation; I won't be interacting with any of the prime movers over there anymore, for any reason; I would advise the same for anyone who has had "issues" with any of them. I suspect that in time they will be happy with the echo chamber they have built for themselves and leave us alone.

I'd hate to see this place just become another pale version of the CSB.

Should anyone register with the intent of, or effect of corrupting, spoiling or interfering with the pleasant atmosphere of this board, I will be asking the membership for permission to kick the fuckers off.

No one has posted a link to Plan B. Kiko in her infinite wisdom (with clean feet) just quoted me over there.

My quote didn't prove her point though. I think she has spent too much time with Steve.

It is a link, in fact. Run your mouse over it. I didn't realize it until Gob posted this; perhaps others won't notice either, but no matter, whether now or later, it's going to be out in the open before long.

It won't happen love. The crap won't be here. You can stay over there with your crap because this isn't the CSB, we don't have the same rules and we aren't necessarily sold on no moderation.

We won't let the CSB crap happen here. You can keep it all to yourself. And if your boys can stop dragging us into threads you will find we won't be posting there.

I hope you continue to enjoy the CSB as much as you have done. We will continue to enjoy our forum. Mmmm-kay?

Ok, first post that appears to have disappeared into the ether.

I think there was a perception that some of us were engaged in a bit of "nyeh, nyeh, we've got a secret" type of taunting over there, and posted the link so as to put an end to it. The perception wasn't completely wrong, so I'm not prepared to unequivocally condemn the posting of the link, although someone who professes to be tired of the drama might have anticipated that it would cause more drama than it would stop.

It looks like we do have an ignore feature. It's in your account settings. There's something called friends and foes. If you list someone as an foe all their posts will be ignored.

Foes are users which will be ignored by default. Posts by these users will not be fully visible. Personal messages from foes are still permitted. Please note that you cannot ignore moderators or administrators.

I don't know what happened Kiko. She was my friend until I returned from my 3 1/2 year hiatus, just like Steve was. She even sent Gob and I home made biscuits for our wedding..

I wonder what made that friendship vanish? It went as quickly as Angela Harrison's original registration at the other place.

I guess Kiko recovered from recognising her 'Stockholm Syndrome' and went straight back into acceptance of the situation.

Hell, I only have to point out the bleeding obvious and I am the world's worst person.

I am sorry that I was the person to think of requesting the restrictions be removed. I really didn't want the Board to die. I really did want to bring it back to the way it was, but with out the cooperative atmosphere that existed under the G-Man's reins, every single thing was like trying to extract teeth with a banana.
