We had that same kind of lunacy going on out here with these a couple of years ago...

Some people just aren't happy unless they have something to paranoid about...

"I’ve learned the radio frequency radiation they give off can cause health problems,” said Scholz.

Scholz admits she uses a cell phone and WiFi, which use the same technology.
So she doesn't want this "dangerous" device on the outside of her house, but she's willing to shove something that uses the exact same technology up against the side of her head.... :loon
Scholz says she has had headaches and extreme fatigue when in homes with smart meters.
My guess is that when it comes to "headaches and extreme fatigue" this lady is a carrier...

Writing on The ScentificParent blog, a chagrined Canadian mom announced that she is leaving the anti-vaxx movement after all of her seven children — four of them completely unvaccinated — have come down with whooping cough.

Writing from quarantine, and surrounded by sick kids, Tara Hills wrote she is “emotionally, a bit raw. Mentally a bit taxed. Physically I’m fine,” before admitting that not only are her own kids sick, but they may have exposed her five-month-old niece who is too young to be fully vaccinated.

What began with a cold brought into her home by her brother-in-law, turned into coughing by her kids leading to full-blown whooping cough in all seven children.

“My youngest three children were coughing so hard they would gag or vomit. I’d never seen anything like this before,” she wrote. ” Watching our youngest struggle with this choking cough, bringing up clear, stringy mucus – I had heard of this before somewhere. My mom said I had it when I was a kid. I snapped into ‘something is WRONG’ mode.”

Jumping onto her computer, she discovered her children’s symptoms matched — almost perfectly — all the symptoms of whooping cough in a household that was woefully under-vaccinated.

“We had vaccinated our first three children on an alternative schedule and our youngest four weren’t vaccinated at all. We stopped because we were scared and didn’t know who to trust,” she explained. ” Was the medical community just paid off puppets of a Big Pharma-Government-Media conspiracy? Were these vaccines even necessary in this day and age? Were we unwittingly doing greater harm than help to our beloved children? So much smoke must mean a fire so we defaulted to the ‘do nothing and hope nothing bad happens’ position.”

Hills explained that she had a hard time overcoming her biases and mistrust of “Big Pharma,” asking herself, “Could all the in-house, independent, peer-reviewed clinical trials, research papers and studies across the globe ALL be flawed, corrupt and untrustworthy?”

Now Hills says that years spent “frozen” out of fear of vaccinating her kids has the whole family frozen: confined to their home by a quarantine.

She said she hopes her mea culpa will make other families who have held back from getting their children vaccinated rethink what they are doing.

I guess she thought "Big Pharma" was poisoning the birth control pills too....

That reminds me of a time a few years ago when I posted some information debunking one of Steve's innumerable conspiracy theory articles...

He responded by saying, "It's on so many websites there must be some truth to it"

I replied by pointing out that he could find hundreds of websites touting penis enlargement pills and creams, but that didn't mean that any of them worked...

Since I started my daily regimen of Vig-Rx my doctor has asked me not to lift anything heavy. So I now sit down when I urinate. The water in the bowl is really cold, though.

And, ladies, he's single.

Mail and Mirror - scammed? News? It's just a little prick after all....
A man with a huge silicone-enhanced penis has revealed his manhood has grown so big he now struggles to have sex.

Micha Stunz, 45, from Germany, has injected his penis with so much silicone he estimates it weighs half a stone, although it is too heavy to be weighed on his kitchen scales anymore.

His bulging penis is now 9 inches long and 3.5 inches wide. But he cannot get a visible erection like other men and said he has to be more inventive in the bedroom.

"I've been told that my penis looks like an ass or a mouth from the front," he told Vice.com.

He said he manages to lead a normal life, buying groceries, going to bars, clubs, and to the movies, but admitted is is not easy buying a new pair of pants. He also has to use a special satchel to contain his bulging penis.

He finds it easier to urinate sitting down on a toilet as he attracts odd looks when standing with other men using urinals.

Despite being a fan of bondage festivals and having a huge penis, Mr Stunz revealed he was actually a pretty shy person.

The government estimates it will save more than $500 million from its "no jab, no pay" policy, which will stop families of unvaccinated children from accessing family and child care benefits.

It is estimated this "stick" to punish parents who refuse to vaccinate their children will affect at least 10,000 families in the 2016/17 financial year alone, saving $142 million and totalling $508 million over the next four years.

The government will spend about $26 million during that time on programs to encourage immunisation, including improving vaccine registers to cover all school-based vaccinations, providing incentives to doctors to target unimmunised children, and running an information campaign.

The "no jab, no pay" proposal has had a mixed reaction from immunisation experts, who say it would be more effective to spend money on programs that targeted families that wanted to be immunised, but faced barriers such as poverty or had missed vaccines because they were born overseas.

University of Sydney associate professor Julie Leask has said only about 2 per cent of families are registered as conscientious objectors to vaccination, and about half of those are not so rusted on to their positions that they might be influenced by the changes to family payments.

On the other hand, about 4 or 5 per cent of parents have not had their children fully immunised because of difficulty accessing the program.

Under the "no jab, no pay" policy, from January 2016 families will no longer be eligible for subsidised child care, worth thousands of dollars each year, if their children are not up to date with their vaccinations, or the Family Tax Benefit Part A end-of-year supplement.

The problem with that approach is that it punishes the kids...

And given the fact that they've already drawn a short straw by being saddled with irresponsible parents with bad judgement, that doesn't really seem fair...

Recently I've found myself representing an anti-vaccination parent and while I can't get into details I will say that when you are one of the percentages of people truly harmed by vaccines, it creates a legitimate fear that any parent would presumably understand - isn't protecting your kids from harm the driving force of your life?

Absolutely. Which is why the idea of not having them receive their vaccinations never entered my head...

I would guess that she's talking about the 0.01% of the 99.99% safe vaccines.

But how would a parent of a child know that she/he will be harmed by a particular vaccine before it is used?

Unless they are immunocompromised by getting treatment for cancer, or the like, where an exemption is already available.

My guess is family history of adverse reaction.

Exactly, Crackpot, it's family history (mom) of very adverse reaction - think, speech and motor disability that took several months to overcome.

http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/hcp/vis/vis ... s/ipv.html

The CDC has adverse reaction pages for each type of vaccination, and acknowledges that adverse reactions, up to and including death, occur in a small percentage of cases.

There is even a national program set up to compensate people harmed by vaccines:
The National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program
The National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP) is a federal program that was created to compensate people who may have been injured by certain vaccines.

Persons who believe they may have been injured by a vaccine can learn about the program and about filing a claim by calling 1-800-338-2382 or visiting the VICP website.

There is nothing funny about Jim Carrey's anti-vaccination Twitter rant.

The comedian has posted a series of angry messages to his 14 million followers accusing the Californian government of being a "corporate fascist".

In the outburst, the 53-year-old father says the government is "poisoning more children" by enforcing vaccinations.

The Ace Ventura: Pet Detective actor's comments come after a new bill removed parents' right to opt out of vaccines for their children.

Now parents can send unvaccinated kids to school only if they have a doctor's note.

The law comes after a recent outbreak of measles that started at Disneyland and was blamed on unvaccinated children.

After Twitter followers debated with Carrey, he sent another series of messages trying to justify his opposition, saying he was not anti-vax, but anti-neurotoxins.

Experts have been quick to disagree.

"Yes, Mr. Carrey, you are anti-vax," science writer Phil Plait says, accusing Carrey of cherry-picking information to make his case. "You can't pick and choose what to believe in and what not to, and then say you're not anti-vaccine."

Professor Arthur Caplan, of New York University's School of Public Health, agrees, accusing Carrey of spreading misinformation.

So, let's see, for spokespeople, on one side is Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carrey, and on the other side is the entire medical establishment, including nearly every physician.
