I'm almost sure that the English language is difficult for you. What you posted has nothing whatsoever to do with the meaning of BSG's sentence.
It states that one doesn't have to take ANY of the Bible literally in order to believe it is true. So, one does not have to take the existence of God literally in order to believe it is true. One does not have to take forgiveness of sin literally in order to believe it is true.
Now apply it to non-Biblical writings. One does not have to take literally ANY Democrat's promises in order to believe it is true. It is a nonsense.
Now if she'd said "One does not have to take literally EVERYTHING in the Bible in order to believe it is true", that's a different matter. I agree to that principle and it's what you posted about above.
But then again, the word "literally" has some problems of application. I don't have to believe there was an actual Good Samaritan in order to believe that the parable teaches truth. I am however required to believe literally that Jesus told the story in the first place.
Have a nice day - 'speak' to you later
Cheers

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

I don't remember correcting your grammar. Just questioning your comprehension
