Pennsylvania councilman chases down and shoots bank robber
Pennsylvania councilman chases down and shoots bank robber
AP has an article on it, if you are interested.....
wesw. MY LINK...
... shows the official snatching the bank money from the robber's hands and beating a hasty retreat to his county owned vehicle, only to be in a deadly standoff with the police who are then seen laughing and tasing each other while splitting up the loot.
Is that the story to which you refer? If not, a link might be helpful. Thanks.

Why would you want that? It's easier to start a thread and post:a link might be helpful
"something is happening in the world and the AP is reporting about if you are interested"

Right - it's easier and lazier and other people have to go away and try to find the story being referred to. And if one person doesn't post that link, then everyone is off seeking it out, which is a waste of time.oldr_n_wsr wrote:Why would you want that? Which is why I don't bother to chase down links for "guess what just happened in St Louis?" OPs.
I think the suggestion is that if wesw (or anyone else) thinks a thing is interesting enough to discuss, then since they are LOOKING AT THE DAMN LINK THEMSELVES BEFORE POSTING. they should copy the URL and paste it in the post.

at the end of the article it asks, whether it was reasonable that the councilman assumed that the bank robber was a bank robber..., uh, duh.

Now that's better. Apparently there's an issue because the naughty robber wasn't armed...
http://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/2015/0 ... y-suspect/Montco DA Weighing Charges Against Hatboro Councilman Who Shot Bank Robbery Suspect
Hero or vigilante? That’s one of the questions being asked after Hatboro councilmember George Forgeng followed a suspected bank robber earlier this week, then shot him in the arm and hand.
Could Forgeng face criminal charges?
Matthew Quigg, the former captain of the Montgomery County DA’s office firearms unit and now a defense attorney, says the DA’s office has a lot to sort out.
“They’ll have to look at the forensic evidence first and foremost,” he tells KYW Newsradio. For example, do the locations of the injuries match up with the shooter’s account of the incident?
Under Pennsylvania law, the use of deadly force is allowed when someone has a reasonable belief that there is danger of death or serious bodily injury.

Are you really that much of twat?
I followed your link which is a bit old and from what looks like a blog. I chose to highlight the issue of shooting a man who is unarmed and provided the link (which is only 2 hours hold) to a credible news source as evidence that what I posted is factual.
That's what one does, wesw. Back-up assertions with evidence.
ETA DIDJA MISS READING THIS?

wesw. THAT'S REALLY ODD
Thanks for finally posting your link. Unfortunately, that's not the story I viewed earlier. The article I read said the bank manager was an ISIL sympathizer and plotted the robbery to get funds for a trip to Syria.
Obviously councilman/bank robber shootings happen much more often than we'd care to imagine. Bottom line? There would be so much less confusion had you posted 'your' link right at the beginning. Hey, jes sayin'.
