...going on live now, discussing al queada and isis amd the spread of their power and influence
speakers include a dr gorka, a brit, chair of military theory at the marine corps university, Katherine Zimmerman, a research fellow at the American enterprise institute, sara carter, senior reporter at the American Media Institute, and a lady from the Heritage foundation.
they are on the Q and A part now, but it is well worth watching the whole discussion. I have learned a lot.

Why did feel the need to open a thread about something that is on the TV that very few (total of 1) here will be able to watch. I expect this to be the last post in this thread.
If you have a topic for a thread, please post it, otherwise don't bother. And "check out what's on the TV (or other media source)" doesn't cut it as a topic (IMO).

well, since you asked me a question, I don t see why you would expect your post to be the last in the thread...
anyway..., I ll answer your question(s).
first, I had supposed that C-span made their content available online, eventually, and that it would be accessible to all who frequent this hallowed board. I may be wrong about that, but we are all often wrong.
second, I thought that the content that I recommended was exceedingly good. it was frank, intelligent discussion by people who know of what they speak in regards to islamists and the various methods of achieving the caliphate that they desire. the inter actions between them, the differences between them, and how they see each other.
this dr gorka, Chair of Military Theory at The Marine Corps University, and that Sara Carter, Senior Reporter for The American Media Institute were especially insightful and knowledgable on al quaeda, isis, and all the islamist groups, and their interactions, philosophies and methodologies.
I posted because I thought it was important and that maybe one person might be interested and watch it later.

Re: brilliant discussion on c span 3
I have C-SPAN 3, and I would have listened to it while I was working had I seen this thread; it's a topic I'm very interested in.
I had a different C-SPAN channel on. (Usually I would have one of the cable news channels on, but since I got back the only things they seem interested in covering are the CFB and Donald Trump...Apparently there is nothing else happening in the world...I would rather have a root canal than listen to, read, or watch one single more story about either.)
