republicans strike mighty blow in the name of liberty

Post by wesw »

just to update....

the overwhelmingly REPUBLICAN south Carolina state legislature voted to remove the stars and bars. the republican governor signed this into law.

one can only conclude that south Carolina REPUBLICANS have struck a mighty blow in defense of American ideals, no?

IMHO the only flags that should be flown on any state propery (especially the state capital grounds) would be the USA flag and that state's flag.

I also want to point out how this whole flag debate is a distraction from the real problem, people like Dylann Roof who will still take selfies with whatever symbol that can find in order to make their case, or just to bring attenttion to their pathetic lives.

Who voted against it? Who tried to derail it with amendments?

Some Republicans finally decided to do the right thing and joined the Democrats who had been pushing for this for decades.

:ok If some southern Republicans want to join the rest of us here in the 21st century, that's fine with me!

And the POW/MIA flag, oldr.

The rest is a very good point, indeed! :ok

Legal question:

In South Carolina, if a man and his wife get divorced, are they still brother and sister?

Did anyone ask liberty about this?

POW/MIA

That's been a boondoggle for years. Almost all Vietnam MIA were declared "MIA" so their families could continue drawing pay. Many were known to be KIA but soft hearts and coronets.... (good for them)

What POW/MIA are we speaking of now? How about real live human US Citizens in Iran abandoned by the government? (Unless of course there's a secret clause with a face-saving Iranian step-down still to come).
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
