So You Think folks Around HERE Are Rude...

Post by Lord Jim »

I was curious to find out what the story was behind the girl who plays the At&t employee in all those commercials, so I did a Google search and checked out a site which had an answer. (Her name is Milana Vayntrub; she's a comedic actress who has been in a bunch of shows I've never heard of, let alone watched...)

The comments really got me. Topic drift sets in pretty early:

Huh? Most blue states pay far more in taxes than they receive in benefits. Most red states are net recipients of gubmint dollars. Take that sucka.

LOL - Look, I gave your "debunking" article a chance but seriously, it goes to pains to try and explain and excuse red state welfare, it's ridiculous. Plain and simple people in blue states have higher avg salaries - and in turn pay more taxes on average. That's the fact jack. Take away the blue states and the red states would have a national GDP on par with Ireland. We're the bread winners you leech.

Bullshit, Roland the Gun Barrel Swallower. The mendacious troglodyte debunking you cite has itself been debunked multiple times. You offer that pathetic joke of a bullshit site, as your reference? Climb back up in the tree with your banjo, inbred boy...

Better a gun barrel swallower than the unmentionable male appendage you prefer to swallow, fartcounter. Either provide the site that debunks the one I provided or else shut your filthy pie hole and get back under the rock you crawled out from under, commie.

If that is truly the case, you leftists should be ALL for reducing welfare, right? RIGHT? Let's reduce it now!

How about starting with Corporate welfare?

Absolutely we should get rid of corporate welfare! Let's start with the good ol leftist GE that raked in billions in profits, and has a pathetic tax rate due to aggressive, but legal, tax strategies. But, rather than fling poo and run, like the left likes to do, how 'bout we do BOTH! After all, wasn't it your dear messiah Obama who called Bush "unpatriotic" for $8T in debt? What is it now? Oh, yeah.... $17T. Let's all admit he's a massive failure (of which some of us predicted before the elections), and find a REAL leader that knows what the heck he/she is doing!

When in the entire history of the world has anyone ever claimed that General Electric is "leftist". Multibillion dollar military contractors to fascist capitalist governments are not "on the Left"

Wow..... Keep drinking that Kool Aide, buddy! When you care to be educated, try looking up which CEO is constantly palling around with Obama, taking trips abroad with him, and which CEO has been structuring their business around all of the hocus pocus global warming BS the left has been pushing. I'll give you a hint; Jeffery Immelt, CEO of.... you guessed it; GE. Also, GE owns those far-right (dripping with sarcasm, of course) news organizations like MSNBC and NBC. To your point on fascism; it's cute that you think fascism is only on the right (see above on comments regarding Immelt and Obama pimping GE products abroad). Please feel free to join us in the real world whenever you wake up. To save face, and prevent you from looking like a tool in the future, try a little research!

Someone who can't even spell Kool Aid telling others to drink it is par for the course for the illiterate American far white.

Oh, no.... Look out everyone; the Spelling Nazi is here. If it makes you feel better, by all means, think of me as illiterate. I'm comfortable in my knowledge that I'm several orders of magnitude more successful than you in all aspects of life. How could I possibly know this? Simple, my unintelligent co-poster: you feel the need to attempt to tear others down to your level rather than build yourself up with reasoned posts showing correlation of facts. So, by all means do what you need to inflate your pathetically small self-worth. I'll survive :-P

It really says something about just how hot-button politically polarized many segments of this country have become that a discussion about a woman who appears in a TV advertising campaign turns almost immediately into a Left/Right political pissing match...

Around here, we really only have one person who consistently attempts to turn almost every discussion no matter what the subject matter, into an occasion to grind his political axe...

In some places on the net, this behavior is pandemic...

Comments like those and worse are posted at almost every website that allows people to comment. Youtube has some of the worst exchanges but trolls like that are all over the internet. I guess a lot of people will do anything for attention even if it makes them look stupid.

Of course, most stupid people don't realize how stupid they look. That's why they're stupid...

Might come in handy.... 8-)
