Re: Coke anyone?
That's rubbish. The 10-20 minute period should have included "Drink another Coke"
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
Re: Coke anyone?
I don't drink the stuff. Water. Fizzy water I make at home. Wine. Beer. Occasionally fruit juice. Or tequila.

Re: Coke anyone?
At least this isn't part of the regular "Coke Lore". http://www.snopes.com/cokelore/acid.asp
But, none of this is any different than drinking another sugared, caffeinated beverage, which can include many juices and ades. The real downside with soda pop is the sodium level and the wasted calories (for regular soda). And, of course, the volume of this negative/nothing drink is a problem -- while most people are able to drink just one soda, the serving size varies.

Re: Coke anyone?
Would you believe me if I said I haven't drunk coca-cola, (or any of the similar drinks,) for over 40 years?

Re: Coke anyone?
I have drunk diet coke for years but not much in the last 10 years or so. Tap water it is for the most part.
Re: Coke anyone?
I miss schweppes bitter orange and bitter lemon. Very nice mixers with white alcohol.
CocaCola is a powerful agent of US hegemony over all of the rest of the world. It would be disloyal to speak ill when they have done so much to bend you to our wills.

It's the real things go better with I'd like to teach the world to sing adds life.
Re: Coke anyone?
I've always preferred Pepsi (although for the last 10-15 years I drink diet (when I drink soft drinks) and diet coke and pepsi are nearly the same) .
Re: Coke anyone?
I drink diet sodas all the time, and have since back in college (I'd frequently grab a Diet Coke on the way to class) when I was 160 pounds and didn't even need to go for diet...
My favorites at the moment are Jones Diet Black Cherry, Diet Cherry 7-Up and a new one that's just shown up in the store in the last few months, Canada Dry Diet Cranberry Ginger Ale.
(the last one is also an excellent vodka mixer, btw...

No soda for me. It's not good for you. I'll stick with coffee, Chardonnay and the occasional milk shake.

Re: Coke anyone?
Coke and other sugary shit is very cheap in the US (hence the obesity and diabetes problem we have) but expensive overseas. Remarkably more so. For a while people were buying Coke at retail price in the US and paying shipping to Japan where they made a fortune selling it out of vending machines. The local bottler in Japan caught on when it got large enough and put a stop to it.
