It is clear to anyone who reads my posts that I'm not any of the names you've decided to call me, @W.
I am one of the "anyone".I am sure that there would be others who read whay you write and would come to a similar conslusion. Maybe not but I doubt being the singular entity struck by your hatred.
I can happily ignore you from here on out. Hopefully, you can do the same.
Spread that hate around!

The general point, that actions are viewed differently based on the race of the participants is obviously true. He does a clumsy job of trying to make that point more specifically here.

"...
Imagine that hundreds of black protesters were to descend upon Washington DC and Northern Virginia, just a few miles from the Capitol and White House, armed with AK-47s, assorted handguns, and ammunition. And imagine that some of these protesters —the black protesters — spoke of the need for political revolution, and possibly even armed conflict in the event that laws they didn’t like were enforced by the government? Would these protester — these black protesters with guns — be seen as brave defenders of the Second Amendment, or would they be viewed by most whites as a danger to the republic?
... "

The Black Panthers in Oakland Calif did do something somewhat like this (I don't have time to post links and c. You can look it up. Try googling "black panthers gun rights"). It got a lot of them murdered, like Fred Hampton shot to death in bed.

As far as the OP is concerned, I pretty much agree with what oldr has said...

But I did want say something about Guin being a "hater" or a "bigot"....

There certainly are Liberal haters and bigots...I've discoursed on the subject a number of times, and made that accusation regarding several posters, (accusations I fully stand by, BTW...I think their comments and attitude fully justify the designations)

But in my opinion, based on 12 plus years of communicating with Guin, both on and of line, and having met her in person, it is my strong view that she most definitely does not fall into that category.

She can be a little snippy at times, and of course the positions she takes are usually wrong, (that really goes without saying :P ) but a "hater" or a "bigot"?

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I certainly wouldn't agree with that.

Nothing could give me more anguish than to say that I agree with Lord Jim.

But this might be the single exception that proves the rule.

I have neither met Guin nor have I communicated with her, but I could not fathom where the basis of the accusations was coming from.
A sufficiently copious dose of bombast drenched in verbose writing is lethal to the truth.

Older, I think I agree with you. The tea party does have some valid concerns. Considerer this: The girl that my wife considers her niece( it is complicated don’t ask) doesn’t like to work. She decides that she most have a mental illness and finds a doctor to agree. Now she is on SSI. And we are paying to drink beer and smoke cigarettes. Now what if instead of getting a check she got room and board in a barracks, but was not allowed drink beer or smoke as a condition occupancy. I suspect she would find herself cured. Damn beer is a wonder drug.
Soon, I’ll post my farewell message. The end is starting to get close. There are many misconceptions about me, and before I go, to live with my ancestors on the steppes, I want to set the record straight.
