(And speaking of laundry, the alarm on my phone just beeped, I have to switch clothes from washer to dryer.)

I've done my own laundry since I was 13 and ironed my own shirts since then as well. If you had ever bought 100% cotton clothes you would know that 'static cling' is mostly a problem for synthetics, cheap synthetics esp. Synthetic fabrics make you stink. too.

I have plenty of 100% cotton clothes (wearing some now, actually)...and when working, I prefer 65/35 polyester/cotton work pants over the 100% cotton work pants or jeans. Compared to 100% cotton, the poly blend is tougher, warmer, and dries much faster when working in the rain.

The poly blend pants are superior to the point I will use them rather than wear the cotton work pants provided and washed free by Cintas at work.

Wool, keeps you warm even when wet. I wear only wool when out hunting too many bogs to fall into.

Not practical for daily use...too much special care required.

Clothes go into machine with powdery stuff.
Clothes go out on line until dry.
Clothes get ironed if necessary.
Clothes get worn.
