The World Champion San Francisco Giants are eight games behind the hated Dodgers, with only 10 left to play...
Their position in the wild card race is even bleaker...
It would take a miracle for the Giants to even make the playoffs this year...(Of course when one looks at their last two World Series Championships, miracles are what the Giants specialize in...)
My other team, The Washington Nationals, are in even worse shape...
7 and a half behind the Lord gimme strength New York Mets
And no shot at a wild card slot...
In the American League, once again (as my father used to like to say when weaker teams were prevailing over stronger ones) "the cows are killing the butchers"...
The Toronto friggin' Blue Jays are on a strong pace with a 3 game lead with just 10 left to play, to win the AL East...(Over the Mighty Yankees , Red Sox and Orioles)
The Royals have the AL Central sewn up, but the AL West and the race for the wild card slots get kind of complicated....
So assuming neither of my teams make it, in this year of The Cows Killing The Butchers, I will root for the ultimate cow..
I'm speaking of course of The Chicago Cubs, who have a 99.9% probability of making it into the one game Wild Card Playoff...(Hey, the Giants started out that way last year and went on to win it all...)
Here's the link with all the current standings and percentage probabilities:

I'll be rooting for them all the way...
I really think this could be The Cubs year...
*Okay, I guess now I have send myself over to stand in the drug testing line...
