Liberty represents the 1/3 of Republican voters they absolutely positively rely on to win anything.
The proof is all around you. Trump and Carson's supporters. Huckabee is ONE of them he actually believes all of that wild-ass bullshit. And the entire state of Texas, witness Ted Cruz, who I suspect is too intelligent to believe all that shit but immoral enough to exploit those who do.

Loved the Onion article. I'd quite like a job sitting around all day making up funny b/s. (And I'm serious there). It would be a change from just making up b/s, at which I have a talent... er, that is...

wesw. HOW MUCH REALER CAN YOU GET?
After all, The Onion is a site on the WWW. They're not about to print a load of nonsense. Luckily your caveat has saved you from much more ridicule than usual.wesw wrote:.....if the story is even real, which I doubt.

I am not a Republican but that will not stop me from voting for one. I didn’t vote for the Republican in the last presidential election; I did not have a lot faith in Obama, but I considered the republican worse. I am sure not going to vote for someone that I fear will not support and protect (citizens) the helpless such as the retarded and old.
However, you are fooling yourself if you don’t think this country is headed for a catastrophe.
Obama did not turn out to be the genius you guys thought he would be. You guys can make excuses for him if you want , but he is in the captain’s seat and almost everything is worse now than when he started. The national debt, national morals, patriotism and overall national defense are worse; the only bright spots are energy independence, which he gets no credit for, and our high quality, but tiny army.
There will be errors in this you can either try to decipher it, ask for clarification or not I don’t care which one you do.
Soon, I’ll post my farewell message. The end is starting to get close. There are many misconceptions about me, and before I go, to live with my ancestors on the steppes, I want to set the record straight.

Please review the District of Columbia Home Rule Act 1973 and the Congressional responsibility for the governance of the District. Then please explain how the combination of regulatory, judicial and executive powers encompassed do not provide "sovereign" governance.

The sovereign is at the top; there no one above him, he has no peers. In our country that is the people collectively as in ‘We the People”. A sovereign government get’s it's power directly from the people as expressed in the Constitution not some public opinion poll. Washington DC is not sovereign because it a is creation of the federal government and is subject to the will of the national government.MajGenl.Meade wrote:Please review the District of Columbia Home Rule Act 1973 and the Congressional responsibility for the governance of the District. Re: Just a liberal reminder
Washington DC is a place. No place is "sovereign". So we can agree on that. Only a government can be sovereign. Washington DC is administered subject to the sovereignty of Congress which, as you redundantly point out, derives all power from the people which elect its members as their representatives.liberty wrote:The sovereign is at the top; there no one above him, he has no peers. If you wish to describe the government of the USA as being one that has power delegated to it by (ultimately) the people, and it serves (ultimately) at their pleasure, then my question is:
So what? We all know that.
I suspect that you want some validation for a statement that will seek to show that no act at all of the US government is legal because "the people" didn't hold a plebiscite. I suggest valiumidation instead.
(PS that's the question there - so what?)

Wrong the national or central government is authorized to do all things that are within it’s scope of responsibilities. This DC thing is just a little side trip which I don’t mind.MajGenl.Meade wrote:Washington DC is a place. No place is "sovereign". So we can agree on that. Only a government can be sovereign. Contrary to what scooter might think, if he does, the US is a federation composed of states not cities, towns, villages or any other real estate. It is composed of states and only states. After all the name of the country is The United States of America not The United States of America and territories. Our states are composed people not real-estate, pines trees or farm animals. Take away the people and the states disappear.
Regardless how much liberals want the country to be an empire ruled by the central government it is still a federal republic where powers are shared between the states and national government. Of course that all changes along with everything else when liberals gain domination of the supreme court.

Do you hear that people? According to liberty, none of you are Americans, because none of you live in the United States of America.
Boston is not part of the the USA. If you live in Boston, you do not live in the USA. You are not an American.
Indianapolis is not part of the the USA. If you live in Indianapolis, you do not live in the USA. You are not an American.
Phoenix is not part of the the USA. If you live in Phoenix, you do not live in the USA. You are not an American.
Seattle is not part of the the USA. If you live in Seattle, you do not live in the USA. You are not an American.
Dallas is not part of the the USA. If you live in Dallas, you do not live in the USA. You are not an American.
I'm curious, how many consecutive generations of brothers and sisters had to fuck each other in your family to end up spawning you?
There are no cities in the United States of America. Boy, the 80% of Americans that live in them are sure going to be surprised to find that out.

You started the thread. and now that you have had you ass handed to you by a foreigner who had more knowledge of your Constitution by the time he was 12 years old than you ever will, you will tuck tail and run away from trying to defend your nonsense. This DC thing is just a little side trip which I don’t mind.

Re: Just a liberal reminder
This is lib, needing to blame all the troubles of the world on "liberals," and twisting himself around into tight little hate-filled knots to do so. There is no logic. There is no rationale. Why, after all these years, would you expect anything else from him??

You have paranoid delusions about "liberals," exacerbated by your ignorance of the court and the operation of government. Get psychiatric help immediately.liberty wrote:Regardless how much liberals want the country to be an empire ruled by the central government it is still a federal republic where powers are shared between the states and national government.
