Just a liberal reminder
Re: Just a liberal reminder
I would like to commend meade for his use of logic and reason in arguing his points.
it is hard to defend liberty on this one, since there was little coherence in any of his posts, but he is right in one regard.
the federal govt has assumed powers far greater than was envisioned by our founders and has assumed powers that are relegated to the separate states in the constitution, and the supreme court has played a role in that usurpation of powers.
I will leave this conversation now. my sister needs a good fucking.....

Re: Just a liberal reminder
I'm sorry to have my 'name' associated with a post that concludes in such a disgusting manner
(although I can see what you allude to - it's still repulsive, as was Scooter's remark)

Re: Just a liberal reminder
it was meant to be repulsive, meade.
picking on liberty is easy enough without such disgusting references as were used by one poster in particular.
it only shows a lack of intelligence. any idiot can talk about one s mother or sister.
middle school for everyone!!!!

True dat. Scooter stunk up the joint - which is not unusual, except that he never gets called on it by any of the .... oh, forget it. I didn't object at the right moment myself

Re: Just a liberal reminder
liberty is the only poster who gets such comments about his parentage from me, and he knows the reason why. I have never professed to be a turn the other cheek sort of guy, and if you haven't been around long enough to understand where that particular line of insult comes, wes, then perhaps you should refrain from commenting.

it s just too easy.....
Re: Just a liberal reminder
It is, but I've never claimed to refrain shooting fish in barrels, either.

I meant you.....
Re: Just a liberal reminder
I'm sure you think so but I am just as sure that it would only result in you looking foolish.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.
Re: Just a liberal reminder
I know exactly what you think you are talking about wes, but I chose my words very carefully, then as now, so if you are chomping at the bit to show off the deficiencies in your reading comprehension skills once again, then bring it on, as one of your heroes was wont to say.wesw wrote:I meant you.....

You can be disgusting without even the excuse of anger. There are so many disgusting things I could say about you, but I try to refrain; I try to be a better person. That is why I try to ignore you; I don’t want to be pulled down into the cesspool along with you.Scooter wrote:Do you hear that people? According to liberty, none of you are Americans, because none of you live in the United States of America.

Dallas is not part of the the USA. If you live in Dallas, you do not live in the USA. You are not an American.
I hope this is the last time I respond to you and I wouldn’t have done it this time if other posters had not made comment that I did happen to read:
I never said that cities did not exist and I never said that people who live in cities are not Americans. I said the US is a federation composed of states and states are composed of people and where those people live is irrelevant.
What is so hard to understand about that?
Soon, I’ll post my farewell message. The end is starting to get close. There are many misconceptions about me, and before I go, to live with my ancestors on the steppes, I want to set the record straight.
Re: Just a liberal reminder
Since some people are having trouble understand let me use an analogy:
A family is composed of related people, mother, father, brother and sister. The house they live in is not a part of the family; it is just real estate.
Does that make it clear?

Clear but without any meaningful value. What on earth is your point? If that's all you're saying, then why say it?

Re: Just a liberal reminder
I just noticed crackpot s reply , about me looking foolish....
geez, that s the whole problem. people afraid of looking foolish.
I have never heard the Obama admin ever admit a mistake.
how can you change course if you are afraid to say you took a wrong turn?
no president has ever been perfect, no one is ever always right.
smart people learn every day.
...and that brings me to a point about crackpot s reference, in an earlier thread, about me having half formed ideas.
what a compliment! thank you! exactly!
I had fully formed ideas well into my adulthood, but I kept learning. i realized that there are layers on top of layers in the realm of knowledge, and that no man will ever learn it all, and that half of what we 'know' now will turn out to be wrong.
part of wisdom is realizing that you just may be wrong. there may be a variable that you have not considered, and perhaps cannot even be measured or foreseen.
as i tell my daughter, it is hard to learn if you already know everything...

He has no point. It's nothing more than a strawman for his regular rants against "liberals" and how they are destroying the earth. Stop feeding the troll.MajGenl.Meade wrote:Clear but without any meaningful value. What on earth is your point? If that's all you're saying, then why say it?

Re: Just a liberal reminder
Liberty's "point" does not need any interpolation by wesw (particularly since it's only wesw's projection of his own nonsense), but is self-evident in his own posts:

liberty wrote:Not that it will do any good you liberal will not be restricted by anything the constitution or anything else. It really doesn’t matters this country is pretty much screwed anyway; perhaps we would be better off if we vote for Putin.
liberty wrote:The point is that this country is screwed on so many levels and lack of respect for the constitution is only one.
liberty wrote:I am sure not going to vote for someone that I fear will not support and protect (citizens) the helpless such as the retarded and old.
However, you are fooling yourself if you don’t think this country is headed for a catastrophe.
Obama did not turn out to be the genius you guys thought he would be. You guys can make excuses for him if you want , but he is in the captain’s seat and almost everything is worse now than when he started. The national debt, national morals, patriotism and overall national defense are worse; the only bright spots are energy independence, which he gets no credit for, and our high quality, but tiny army.
In other words: "Liberals constitution screwed Obama catastrophe republic fear empire Supreme Court argle bargle!!!11!!!!!!1!!"liberty wrote:Regardless how much liberals want the country to be an empire ruled by the central government it is still a federal republic where powers are shared between the states and national government. Of course that all changes along with everything else when liberals gain domination of the supreme court.
GAH!
