Not New, but Disgustingly New to Me....

Post by Joe Guy »

Placenta Smoothies

To be consumed as soon as possible after birth of placenta. The smoothie is made of 3-4 pieces of fresh placenta (the rest can be prepared into capsules or other remedies), a handful of fresh organic berries of choice, 1 whole banana and water. Simple and delicious…I had two after birth and I promise…you really can’t taste the placenta!

“For me personally the increase in milk and the ease of feeding has been the greatest benefit. The raw placenta smoothie was noticably helpful – the bleeding went from heavy to light in 5-10 hours. My mood and energy levels were also much higher than I expected. And it didn’t taste of anything other than berries which was a complete surprise – in fact it was quite delicious!” Kate, mum of two in London

PLEASE ENSURE YOU CONTACT YOUR LOCAL SPECIALIST FOR PLACENTA STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS AFTER BIRTH, APPROPRIATE PLACENTA CARE IS VERY IMPORTANT.

The raw placenta is known for its high contents of stem cells and growth factors which together heal damaged tissue and organs at a very incredible rate. Consuming the placenta raw is the most natural and benefitial way to benefit from your placenta after birth.

What in the hell? Who thought of this?

Anyone who thinks that eating placenta is nutritious and has health benefits needs his/her head examined and/or plunked with a baseball bat...

Let's not exaggerate wes; from what I recall he has said he wanted to devote funding to reduce vagrancy, but the council rejected it again and again. They won't even put up money for porta johns. Face it, if you are living in the streets and there is nowhere to relieve yourself (and, unlike some cities, NYC has no rules to allow people to use public bathrooms in private places like restaurants or hotels), what the hell do you expect these people to do? And what, we should arrest them then? It would be a lot cheaper and cost effective to give these people access to appropriate facilities, but that would mean the city would have to act.

The problem should be addressed because it is not going to go away, no matter what people hope will happen.

Why shouldn't women eat their placentas if they wish to? It's nobody's business (or 'problem') but theirs.

I think women shouldn't eat their placentas because it is a sickening and stupid idea with no benefit whatsoever. If they want to, I don't care. Open a placenta restaurant if you want. Not a good idea, but I wouldn't try to stop you.

The reason I looked this subject up in Google is because I saw a guy on TV say that he and his wife had eaten the wife's placenta when they had their child. I wondered how many more idiots there are like him. I didn't expect to see a bunch of recipes.

Well there is one benefit, it keeps the hospital from selling it to a cosmetics company; why give it away?

So does U.S. law. They are sometimes donated by the mother, for research in the US.

In the UK Sigma-Aldrich (who I buy a lot of chemicals from) was buying placentas and extracting components which were then sold for research. sometimes to cosmetics companies. EU law bans using them for the production of cosmetics which are sold commercially.

As always, there are black markets for anything from tiger penis to rhino horn.
