It really captures the gritty, morally ambiguous relationship between the cops and the thugs in early 1960s NYC...

Two Thumbs up...

Fargo: Season II:

I was prepared to be disappointed after last season's extraordinary chemistry between Martin Freeman and Billy Bob Thornton, but this season's "prequel" (it's set in 1979) really seems to work....

Quirky characters, unexpected plot twists, (there's a couple at the heart of this that remind me a lot of Donnie and Alison from Orphan Black) and superb dialog and timing....

Blindspot:

The premise seems preposterous; a young woman is found in a bag in the middle of Time Square, naked and covered in tattoos...

But with each episode, the plot thickens and deepens...

Well written and well cast...

Haven't seen Public Morals, but I'll second your recommendations on Fargo Season II and Blindspot. They haven't run their course, but so far they are good, well-written and well-acted.

By some outer limits phenomenon, I caught the first episode of Fargo this season (I think it was the first episode, the one where the guy killed everyone in the waffle house, saw some strange lights thengot ran over). I've been catching it , or at least bits and pieces of it since. I like it.

I was wondering where you get the free time to watch TV, not that you were watching TV with your free time.
I'm not one to judge.
I'm jealous.
I never seem to have much free time.

Even less now that I am helping fix up my daughters house.
Finished laying down the kitchen and living room floors. Moldings and door saddles should be bought and installed (by me) this weekend. Then I get to tackle the big job. Opening up the wall between the kitchen and living room. She wants and "island/counter top" between the two rooms. Something she can put some stools on either side and eat/drink/serve from. Of ocurse it's a load bearing wall so I get to sure it up with a couple of 2x8 beams and double 2x4 columns. It's only a 4foot wide "window" between the rooms but should look nice and be functional.

I complain but I really like doing these kinds of things. As long as it's not painting. I would rather put on a second story addition by myslef than paint a room.
But that's just me.

Nothing quite like a Michael Landon Marathon...

A "sports" channel that shows nothing but off-brand pseudo-sports like cricket, soccer, and rugby...

And a "music" channel that plays All-Leonard Cohen-All-the-Time...

It's not a bad deal...

You forgot ancient reruns of Top Gear... and Netflix of course, with Frasier and something else good. Oh, and PBS - New Tricks, Midsummer Murders, and something else good.

Oh, and Match Game from 1978 or something like that - 8-9 a.m. HGTV for a couple of hot babes (the good Flip or Flop, not the bad one - but oh dear Christina has the most vile accent. And Fixer Upper - yes indeedy!)

My TV doesn't get the All-Leonard channel but that's OK - I've got 35 hours of his music on the PC.

I've long been a fan, but they keep showing the same four seasons over and over again on PBS...

I've gotten Lady Kelly interested in it, and now we get every season from 1997 forward on Netflix...

We're also checking out some of the early episodes of Death In Paradise... (the early ones with Ben Miller are hilarious; the later ones with surfer dude Kris Marshall are rubbish...)

I've been catching parts of American Horror Story: Hotel at the beginning of it's season and am addicted. As much as one can be with only seeing bits and pieces of each episode. I get home from working on the daughters house around 10pm and am falling asleep at about 10:30

Oldr--have you seen the other installments of AHS? Personally, this seems to me to be the weakest, but I'm hanging in there and hoping something more develops. If you haven't seen the other seasons, I recommend them all (some are better than others, but IMHO the first is the best).

I checked in somewhat last season of AH (the circus thingy, two headed lady, Doogie Hauser, etc) but didn't keep up with it. It looked good but I think AA meetings took priority on that day/timeslot and I didn't go looking for it on On Demand.
As I have said, time is something that is in short supply for me especially now with fixing up the daughters house. Might have to put on a new roof also but we might hire someone to do it. I don't know if my body is as willing as my mind is to tackly that job. At least the inside is shaping up nicely.
