Clydesdales are herbivores and thus don't have especially fetid efflatus.

Maybe she was quitting smoking. Than can produce farts that will strip the chrome off a bumper.

strip the chrome off a bumper.
Uhh, rube...

That's generally a phrase that's made in reference to a well delivered blow job... 8-)

... and a fart's not a 'blow' job?

(Damn. Explains why I've not been enjoying those very much over the past 45 years)

Urban legend, or not.
According to Kitty Kelley's biography, Nancy Reagan "was renowned in Hollywood for performing oral sex." Just-say-yes Nancy--in the days when she was Nancy Davis--was known to give the best blowjob in town, "not only in the evening but in offices. [T]hat was one of the reasons that she was very popular on the MGM lot." It must have made her very popular with Ronnie as well.

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

According to the urban dictionary, that one actually uses the word "suck" in the phrase. Either chrome off a tailpipe, or a trailer hitch. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.p ... iler+hitch

I've heard the "strip the chrome" expression with reference to noxious smells.

True dat. I've heard strip wallpaper, strip paint, strip the dark side of the moon (odd). I've also heard (actually while standing at a line of urinals, using one of them of course), "Ah, the automatic tile and grout cleaner!"

Well shoot, if I'd only known that the key to a mildewless shower was staying well-hydrated.
