During his visit to Turkey on the occasion of the G-20 annual meeting in Antalya, Obama doing sign of the Grey wolves, a Turkish fascist group which is anti-Semitic, anti-Israel, anti-Christian, anti Armenian and anti Kurd...
Probably just ignorance - who from outside the area would know?
And speaking of trips to Washington and "no specific threats" mean all is well.....
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
The photo of Obama making the "grey wolf" sign looks bogus to me. Similar hand gestures in different parts of the world mean different things. I feel confident our president knows this and would avoid making any offensive signs. I'm going to wait for more information before believing he did this.
As far as being afraid. Russia, France, Turkey, ISIS, NATO, the USA -- all in a state of flux. Obviously, at the moment, the world is in serious crisis mode. There is not shame in being fearful with so much going on. Those who are not somewhat afraid or apprehensive, are displaying too much naivete, and may find themselves on the wrong side of events yet to unfold.
A George Bush "Bring 'em on!" moment could very well prove to be premature behavior. Erring on the side of caution works for me. I'm with our president so far. We'll see.
“In a world whose absurdity appears to be so impenetrable, we simply must reach a greater degree of understanding among us, a greater sincerity.”
