Denniz d'Menniz, Dennis Meinert, has passed. He was in a fatal car accident last night in southern Illinois. Robin Barr (rbarr) got a call early this morning from the Greene County Sheriff's office because she was a recent call,on his cell phone. He had moved back to St Louis from the DC area this summer, and they were looking for next of kin.
The IL state police are handling the matter now, and anyone with any information about his family or current employer should call Trooper Heath Bryan, 217-324-2151.
Dennis's car was hit head on, and he died at the scene or in transport to the hospital. His ICE (in case of emergency) has been in contact and confirmed the worst. His name has not yet been officially released, however, as they look for family.
I'll pass along any additional information as it becomes available.
He was a dear, kind man, who was always up for an adventure, and who will be missed. Only 63. RIP, Dennis.
