Hey old man, do you know about volume controls? I thought they even had them back on those old Philco radios/tvs you grew up listening to - they're on computers too, ya know! :nana  8-)

Okay, I hit a 332.7 right next to the reindeer...

"Old man" indeed...

And your best score would be?.... :P

BTW, I can think of at least one person who could use some "volume control"... :nana

I think my truck has a philco radio. I don t listen to it much because the tuning knob barely moves the tuner needle and the push buttons don t work.

it only moves the needle , at all, when it s warm out, in the winter forget about tuning it.

it is stuck down around 88-89 on the FM dial, I can get a NPR station tho. the only problem is that the stuck needle is under some tension and it moves a little every time I hit a little bump and I have to constantly retune to the station.

it s not too bad because the truck doesn t have a heater in it, so I don t use it much in cold weather anyway....

three reasons....

I think I see where 'Da Yoopers' got the inspiration for their song "Rusty Chevrolet".
Might be time to get a new truck.
Or at least a new radio.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

well...,

it had a newer radio when I got it, but I got this parts truck with an original radio in it so.....

....it worked ok for a few months....

I just went and checked and it is a philco....

I think that I am getting a new truck, my son bought me an 85 f350 crew cab, with no rust!!!! (750 bucks!)

I still need a new radio for my old one (75 f100 supercab) tho.... it has at least 10 more yrs in it if I m lucky enough to have ten yrs myself...
