Hyper anyone?

Post by kmccune »

What are you good sojourners thoughts on the proposed very fast aircraft for intercontinental runs?Wasnt it decided in the 60s that SSTs would disrupt the stratosphere? What would a faster craft do to the atmospheric layers?

Having spent from 11.00 am Tuesday to 11.30 am Thursday of last week on a plane, I'm all for it.

What would a faster craft do to the atmospheric layers?
It would end up depositing too much oxygen into the atmosphere which would cause the next round of climate changes (aka global cooling) via the polar vortex becoming unstable as the skies are clearer when there is too much oxygen realeasing all the heat fromt he planet.
We would then be faced with larger ice sheets and glaciers which would cause the see levels to go down to the point that we could not navigate as the passages would be too shallow. And as the bay bottoms become exposed all the garbage that was dumped there over the years would start to rot and decay and the city dwellers would be displaced inland to get away from the toxic atmosphere. There they would face hostilies from the heavily armed "fly over" population who would put up a really huge wall and ban all metrosexuals (who happen to worship the Flying Spagetti Monster) from entering until they could be properly vetted.
Then we would send huge amounts of money to third world countries (via the UN who would take their cut of the money of course) to bribe persuade them from building/purchasing/flying the new aircraft.
Happy now?

Ask a serious question and get, look, that was one supposed reason the american SSTs were canceled,I guess the correct Rush answer would be"Nothing, its to big ,man cant harm it"(just like we cant harm the coastal fisheries) :shrug

I theorize that kmccune is really wesw's secret identity. Joe would probably know. Since the frogs overloaded the Concorde by putting that additional 'e' on the end, and the resultant explosion and destruction of the last operational SST, I've thought long and deeply about this subject. Are there not already fast enough ways to get the super-rich and the pretentious from place to place?
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

That was rather disingenuous of you,I forget that people have not shared my interests for as long as I have(I used to dote on aerospace) when it finally occurred to me what NASA was truly about, I started to lose interest(Gen Eisenhower warned us about such) .
