The old saying: "If your remember the sixties, you really weren't there".

Rube OTOH was at his mammie's breast.

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

Now if someone today wishes to support ISIS or Russia, don’t they have a right to do so?

lib, you're not that dim.
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

Dim? No, I agree with Lib; in a free society they would be free to support who they wanted. Not to abet illegal actions, but to voice support for policies; indeed, freedom demands tolerance of differing opinions. Unfortunately, the USA has forgotten that; it came back briefly in the 60s after the communist witch hunts, but it is all but gone now.

If that was lib's point, Big RR, (and now that he's read yours, it might become so), then OK. Instead, he's comparing Jane Fonda to ISIS wannabe USians. That he sees no difference between the situation in Vietnam post-WW2 and the religious terrorists of Da'esh makes him a dimly shining provocateur.

Well, you could be right; Lib can speak for himself if he chooses.

Here is my point I believe in liberty. A good society has much freedom as is possible. However, both dictatorships and democracies win wars the same way. Wars are won by the application of this logic: Whatever is good for your enemy is bad for you. When a country goes to war they do what ever is necessary to win and allow no interference. If they are not willing to do that they shouldn’t go to war; after all, war is about killing people and breaking things.

Jane Fonda interfered with the war effort in Vietnam. At the time propaganda was an effective weapon for the communist and Fonda provided it. If Fonda was allowed to interfere in Vietnam why shouldn’t others be allowed to help ISIS now.

There is not a lot of difference between Iran, Vietnam during the war and ISIS. The only difference is ISIS commits their atrocities in public. Do you care about the American POWs that were tortured to death in Vietnam. Some surely die under torture; the only one that lived, except perhaps McCain, cooperated to some extent or they would die.

ISIS is no threat to us you have a better chance of being killed by some street thugs than an ISIS supporter; bring the troops home.
