gee, if meade had done a similar devolution cartoon , ending with Obama as a chimpanzee.....

wow, articulate , intelligent men, like Jim and Meade, seem to have been turned into brainless insulters, with no perspective, by Trump s run at the Whitehouse.

they talk about trump s supporters being shallow, mindless dolts, racists , bigots, inbred..., the lowest common denominator....

yet they offer NOTHING as an alternative , they just plan to vote for Hillary. hello nose, I m taking you because I m mad at my face, sorry about the mess....

they are taking the same route as most of the other GOP candidates. mindless insults.

trump dangled the hate bait and the whole of the elite, from both parties, gobbled it up.

he done played ya ll like a fiddle, and you don t even know it..., I ve tried to tell ya ll, but what do I know? I m just a simple fisherman...

That's a perfect description of the "logic" employed by the Trumpanzees...

Those who support Trump are the real Hillary supporters, since Trump can't possibly win the general election...

Wes, you might as well put a Hillary bumper sticker on your car, and a Hillary sign on your front lawn...

As I've said before, (and the polls consistently back me up) Slick Hillie is a very vulnerable and beatable candidate...

But the Trumpanzees want to piss this golden opportunity away by throwing a trumper tantrum, and nominating Trumpty...(and cost the GOP control of the Senate, and possibly even the House in the bargain...)
yet they offer NOTHING as an alternative , they just plan to vote for Hillary.
On the contrary there are four alternatives still on offer that all could conceivably win the general election; (Kasich, Bush, Rubio, and Christie)

Just because you don't happen to like the alternatives, doesn't mean they aren't being offered...

I view voting for Hillary as the very last firewall for stopping Trump; it is my fervent hope it never comes to that...

I think I've made pretty clear what I think of Hillary...and it ain't good...I've called her a cynical serial liar, utterly unscrupulous, arrogant, vicious, petty, "Nixon in a pantsuit"...(and those are her good points...)

In 2012, I voted for Mitt Romney. It was a vote I cast with a complete lack of enthusiasm; the most depressing vote for the Presidency I have cast since my first vote in 1980...

And yet, the enthusiasm level I had voting for Romney will look like pure rapturous joy; dancing-in-the-streets giddy with delight, compared to the enthusiasm with which I would vote for Hillary Clinton...

I would greatly prefer to have a colostomy and a root canal simultaneously rather then cast that vote...

But if the walking talking toxic waste dump known as Donald Trump gets the Republican nomination, I'll still vote for her...

jim, the regular rules of order no longer apply, the Marquis of queensbury rules have been suspended.....

....and the tactic of painting trump supporters as guaranteeing a Clinton victory are ineffective and false. we ain t skeered, ya ll are....

...and YOU are the one running around trumpeting that you will vote for Hillary, not me.....

break free the bonds of servitude. Rise up! ...as !jeb! would say..., we have a right to rise!

13 000 folks in mississipi last night..., all for trump....

I remember reading a book on business theory and tactics a looong time ago.

Ways of the Hunter Warrior, I think it was, by Julian m Snyder, maybe?

...anyway, there is one quote from it that has always stuck with me....

not exact, I m sure, but here s the idea...

sometimes in life and finance, you have to walk right up to the very edge of the precipice , and when you are right on the very edge...
....you have to take one more step....

LJ, I'm not sure I could go so far as to vote for Hillary. And voting for Romney was about as objectionable as voting for her would be.

But certainly you are correct that the most undemocratic, un-American (there, I used the word), USA-hating, racist, sexist, pig-ignorant sections of the US population will go for the Trump who exemplifies their brain-dead bigotry.

Let's say it clear - Trump is disgusting, vile, reprehensible and makes even Hillary look a little less like a capitalist pig in lipstick

so..., nothing of value to offer , meade?

the vile things that spew from your mouth hurt you more than they hurt trump, or his supporters.

It's like those cartoons where you see the bubble-thought from the cat but there' s nothing there to read.

But whatever you write, wesw, I can only assure you that if the cap fits, then you can choose to wear it. And if it doesn't fit, just let it go by.

So a whole bunch of people showed up to see/hear Donald Trump.  I will refrain from observing that the average person will tend to stop and gawk at a train wreck, but I will note that I can probably (and without too much looking) find a large number of people who believe in UFOs and space aliens, or that the Apollo moon landings were faked and NASA never went to the moon, or that 9/11 was a "false flag" operation by the CIA or some other shadow organization, or that Elvis is still alive.  But just because there a whole bunch of them doesn't mean that they are correct.

Same thing with Dumb-old Trump and his supporters/fanbase.

The defining issue of this generation is IMMIGRATION; Trump and Cruz are the only ones who "get it."

Just as the Palestinians long ago decided that they could out-breed the Israeli's, Terrible Ted Kennedy long ago realized that by opening the floodgates to the third world - a population that would be looking for generations to suckle at the Government's teats - his beloved party would be forever enshrined to rule this country. We are almost there; as the Global Warming Alarmists like to describe things, we are at a "tipping point" in this election. If another Democrat is elected, the "47%" will constitute a majority within the next ten years. That will be a majority who look to Government as the solution to every problem, and will demand "free" everything, from healthcare to college education, to every manner of taking care of anyone who cannot or will not take care of themselves - all paid for by the people who actually work for a living.

I find Mr. Trump to be an odious individual and would not vote for him in the primary (my guy is Cruz), but if I have to choose between the Donald and HRC, I will be doing everything I can, both financially and practically, to see that he is elected.

This is no joke, and it's no time to sit on the sidelines.

And anyone calling themselves a "Republican" and given that choice, who would either sit it out or vote for HRC is either a liar or delusional. A vote for HRC is a vote for cultural suicide.

yeah, do you really think that I support trump out of affinity?

necessity it the mother of invention, and we need a real muther to get us out of this crap.

I do enjoy the parties' come uppance, but trump has been forced upon me. I m just gonna relax and enjoy it.

cruz is bright knowledgable and highly qualified. his problem is that he has a face that begs to be punched, he is just smarmy and unlikable, tho he has gotten better as the campaign has progressed.

I don t think that he can win as the nominee, and we can t afford to lose, so I support trump, and hopefully cruz will be VP or attorney general, so that trump can benefit from his knowledge of our system and our laws.

I would prefer Kasich as vp , but he has burned that bridge, maybe.

the only thing worse than a republican is a democrat (socialist)

If I were emperor of the Republican Party, here are my appointees as nominee, in order of preference:

Christie
Kasich
Cruz
Rubio, and at or near the bottom,

Trump.

By the time Pennsylvania gets to vote, the pack will have been winnowed down, and I expect to vote for Cruz as the R nominee.

I cannot imagine any turn of events that would see me either sitting out the election or voting for HRC. I will support the R candidate enthusiastically.

... you'd support Trump enthusiastically merely because he is a self-declared "these-days-I'm-republican"? A bit sad, no?
