You asked, you got...

Post by Gob »

Those of you who have been nagging me to get our blog updated, have had your wish fulfilled. Go to the usual address, and click on "missadventures", then choose "UK Trip 2015".

There's still a few images to be added to the galleries for each section, but I'm sure you can survive without them.

Some examples...

Cornwall

Do we get three votes or only two? If three, can we replace (say) "complimentary" with "disparaging"? :shrug
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

the picture of horses is soul stirring....

...or it seemed to be after I clicked on it then moved my mouse all over so that I could get a half assed look at it.

I wonder how good the others would be..., if I could only see them....

Half assed indeed, I would think you were very familiar with that end of the horse.

I have read one part so far. I wonder how this story would have been different if you had not found the money. What a git.

A PICTURE SAYS A THOUSAND WORDS

My fav -- I like the photo of the majestic bald eagle soaring mightily over the unmistakable, yet beautiful, Wrexham tar pits of Wales. The burnt orange sunset offsets the focal point exquisitely and ties the moment all together. Absolutely breathtaking and awe inspiring. Good eye, Gob.

From the photos, I can deduce that Wales and the West Country have been abandoned by their human population, who are probably seeking atmospheric conditions less conducive to excessive rainfall and depression.

I was thinking along the same line as Sue. Gob seems to like getting away from the populated areas in Australia so he can find other places in the world to get away from the population.

I think you're close, but may have cause and effect reversed. The people have obviously fled the area, so you have to ask yourself, what is the common denominator? (Gob. It's Gob. People are fleeing Gob.)

Lovely photos.

Agree with Sue about the avoidance. I mean really, they practically pay him *not* to work. Or to show up at work, to be more accurate.

Now I get it, Sue. All those photos that Gob takes are in highly populated areas and were intended to be of groups of people. They all ran away when they realized he was the photographer.

On a serious note, Gob, those and other examples of your photos are astounding. Pure art.

Well done.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

BB. AS A KID...

... I spent every other weekend for four years on a farm. I called similar items horse bridle tack medallions. Of course, being in the UK they might have a different name for them.
