So I guess everyone but me tried the reboot. I was too busy enjoying the thanksgiving weekend. Played some football with my old high school buddies (Thanksgiving day tradition since 1974) then fixed and hung up the Christmas lights for the next three days.

After hearing everyones stories, don't know if I I want to register until things get "private".

Perhaps he could have one of your ditties play when you land on the CSB home page...

And replace his header banner with a videotape of a cricket match...

That oughta pack 'em in.... :D

(Maybe he can get Marmite for an advertising sponsor...)

PM him those ideas now Jim, and ask for a cut of the profits!

Why does someone always beat me to the best ideas....

I've tried to register over there with no success thus far.

I must ask myself is CSB II really worth the efffort?

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

When I registered, the confirmation email was sent to my spam box.

Check there...

FWIW, I just registered over there and noticed that while profiles are set to private, if you click on "extended view" your headline, 20 character statement, age, and location becomes visible. So if there is info there you don't want to share, best to change it.

That's you viewing yourself, Guin, when you are logged in. When another person clicks your profile (as set to private), it comes up "access denied."

Nope, that info is viewable to anyone whether logged in or not. Go to the "people" tab which shows a list of registered members (as boxes with avatar). Look to the right and see a tab called "extended view." Click on that tab. You will see the info I noted above. No clicking on any profile required.

Indeed - though I guess that's the same basic info that was always available on the old CSB, too.

As I mentioned on CSB when the G-Man came back ... he needs to lead by example.

I have posted on all incarnations of the CSB to get the ball rolling again when we have had to start once more from nothing. It's a lot of hard work.

I went through all that again in establishing Plan B.

What is my motivation for posting like a mad post-whore on the CSB when the G-Man isn't posting?

That is beyond me.

In any case, my time is very limited for posting. I am setting up for the last mad dash to the end of the year work-wise.
Bah!

Really? He seems to be the one posting the most; with blogs, videos and you think all that code is crunching itself, when folks need help? ...that on top of his real job. :)

He seems to be the one posting the most;
I just swung by there, and that's my impression...

When I checked, he had 28 posts...(Steve was in second place with 26...I get the impression Steve has moved over there pretty much full time; it gives him the chance to pretend he's a genius without anyone giving him a reality check....)

I'm a little puzzled by Gar's posting, since I was under the impression from what he had said that he was going to retire the handle and not use it at all at Re-Boot....
