Overheard in the men's locker room at the gym
This morning, 730. Most of us getting in a workout before heading to the office.
"Fuck!" Roots through bag. "I've left my hair gel at home. Now I'm going to look like Super Emo all day."
I think I can be forgiven for not knowing who Super Emo is, and Google isn't a lot of help.
But when did men start wearing hair gel? Did I skip that lesson?

I think they call it "product" as in hair product. I don't use it, and don't know many who do.

Here is a guy with emo hair:

Maybe he meant, 'super' (a lot) emo? Did his hair fall all into his face like this?

For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.

"EMO"
A sub-genre of alt/indie rock music. Often associated with sullen lyrics while displaying a brooding or pouty countenance. (ie. death sucking a lemon.)

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Nowhere near "new". Having constant bed head is one of the reasons I went to a really short crew cut (1995 or so). Looks the same after sleeping, wearing a hat or a helmet, or after swimming.Bed head is the new cool..."

Geez, Andy. I was wearing hair gel in er... 1987...

Hmm... a bit sad that. The young men to the far left (my son Jesse) and far right (my best pal in London, Ken) are both dead now. The short one's the US Army son - the blond is my daughter and the handsome guy in the jacket and the hair gel.... that was me. There was less of me then.

It was marketed (poorly) here as the Austin Marina. It used the same basic engine as an MGB, also marketed (poorly) here since the 1800 CC engine was a smog strangled gutless wonder. Ask the man who owns six of them.
I was at the local barber shop Tuesday for my semi-annual haircut when a guy I've known for at least 35 years come in asking for some gel. I know he's pushing 80. He wanted some old fashioned brand that the barber is the only known source for.

If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space.

Was that the one with the square steering wheel? I had forgotten how bad cars were in those days before the Japanese and Deming taught us how to do it.
