We used to have good presidents, or at least successful presidencies?
It used to be, in California at least, that there would be a holiday for George Washington and one for Abraham Lincoln, on their birthdays (being days off as a child, February 12 and 22 are firmly imprinted in my brain). I guess Lincoln's birthday was never a federal holiday, but many states made it a holiday. Is that still the case for the California slackers (almost as bad as Australia there), or is the Golden State down to one day off for the presidents?
President's Day, remember when
Re: President's Day, remember when
Yes, sorry to say.
I recall we also honored Admissions Day on September 12.

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

Re: President's Day, remember when
Presidents day what a stupid holiday. Kill it and reinstate Washington’s birthday. Now there is a man we should remember, Ronald Reagan of the eighteenth century.
Soon, I’ll post my farewell message. The end is starting to get close. There are many misconceptions about me, and before I go, to live with my ancestors on the steppes, I want to set the record straight.
