Per Rubato: Scalia said that "Mere factual innocence is no reason not to carry out a death sentence properly reached."
I share Rubato's opinion of Scalia. But there is no need to ascribe to him things he never said. Snopes and various others have made it clear that this quote is a long way from what Scalia actually said.
