Is anything going to change ?
Is anything going to change ?
Is anything going to change when Hillary is elected ? Or will the Republicans be able to steal this one ? (food for thought -the country is ripe for a woman prez now )
Re: Is anything going to change ?
If she manages to avoid indictment, and if Donald Drumpf is the GOP nominee, then a Hillary victory is pretty much a certainty.
My hope is that she'll bring a foreign and defense policy that will be at least marginally tougher and less navel gazing then what Obama has brought. She was considered to be one of the more Hawkish members of his administration, advocating a more muscular and forward leaning approach. She was a strong advocate of earlier involvement in Syria for example, and a President Hillary Clinton would probably have pressed much harder to get a residual force agreement with Iraq.
I don't imagine much will change in domestic policy. Even though Drumpf's landslide defeat will probably cost the GOP the Senate, we will probably hold the House which will act as a check on Hillary being able to follow economy killing tax and spend policies.

As opposed to cut taxes and spend more policies?
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.
Re: Is anything going to change ?
When Bernie's elected and the Congress that is about to make idiots of themselves (via the Senate) by blocking hearings on Obama's SCOTUS nomination gets removed in the midterms by armies of ANGRY voters and a new Congress friendly to democratic socialism is elected, EVERYTHING is going to change.
It's a revolution. The peaceful kind, via democracy.

Give her the benefit of the doubt, Jim, I think she meant to post that in Arts regarding the discussion of unrealistic science fiction.

WTF does that even mean? They're English words, I can see that, but WTF?BoSoxGal wrote:When Bernie's elected and the Congress that is about to make idiots of themselves (via the Senate) by blocking hearings on Obama's SCOTUS nomination gets removed in the midterms by armies of ANGRY voters and a new Congress friendly to democratic socialism is elected, EVERYTHING is going to change.

It means I think Bernie CAN get elected and I think the same movement of passionate, angry voters anxious to take back their country will also vote in candidates to the House and Senate who will support his FDR-like New Deal for the 21st Century.

I just hope it's nuts enough to make way for a peaceful revolution.
If I was someone in another country, I'd be a little bit unnerved that the next POTUS might be Donald Trumpy; we do have an awful lot of very destructive toys for a naughty, tantrum-prone child like him to have control of.

After last Tuesday, things are lookin' pretty bleak for ol' Bern...
He's admitted that he has a "narrow path" to get the votes needed for the nomination...
Actually, given the math, it's more like a tight rope...
He has to win 55-60% of the remaining delegates, and when you look at polling in state after state, that don't seem likely...

Whenever you want to find out the real cost of things, make them "free".

What was the delegate count at this time in 2008 between our President and then Senator Clinton?
It's still doable. Mainstream national media isn't showing the massive crowds coming out for Bernie, but local news is. Vive la revolution!

Re: Is anything going to change ?
the other thing to consider is that if Bernie does very well (even if he doesn't win the big margin needed), at least some of the super delegates may well move to him rather than Hillary which could give him a better chance. Right now it looks unlikely, but then Trump looked damn near impossible a couple of months ago so there may be a surprise.

All Christians vote as many times as you can and more; it is important.
Soon, I’ll post my farewell message. The end is starting to get close. There are many misconceptions about me, and before I go, to live with my ancestors on the steppes, I want to set the record straight.
Re: Is anything going to change ?
Clinton 672 v. Sanders 477; 3136 delegates not yet allocated
Superdelegates removed from totals because they can shift their votes - and will, I believe, when it becomes clear Sanders is the peoples' choice.
Here's a good tracker for all candidates/both parties: http://www.bloomberg.com/politics/graph ... e-tracker/
