Hoping to see this on Friday. I love Alan Bennett's work, got most of his stuff on CD/DVD

OH, NO!
It's Violet Crawley, the Dowager Countess of Grantham. My, how the rich have fallen.

Lovely movie, we really enjoyed it. It's a very gentle, "based on a true story" English eccentric tale. The use of two "Alan Bennetts" is a clever trick, and of course Maggie Smith gives a knockout performance. Well worth a watch.

I hadn't even realized it was playing here until you prompted me to check out the cinema listings. Will check it out, thanks.

It's playing here, going to see it this week, very excited. Love Maggie Smith!

It's not playing in either my town or the next one; looks like I'll have to go to further than I was hoping, but I do want to see this!

Loved it. Saw it a couple of weeks ago. I remember Alan Bennett telling the story occasionally many years ago, while it was going on. And then he pops up in the final few minutes which was nice. Have to give it an A minus -- that one scene (you'll know the one I mean if you see it) lets it down.
