When you invite yourself for a visit...

Post by Scooter »

...and your hosts reply, "not at home":
Marine Le Pen, leader of France's far-right Front National, visits Quebec

Premier Philippe Couillard and provincial opposition leaders are keeping clear of the controversial leader of France's far-right party, the Front National.

Marine Le Pen is arriving in Montreal today and plans to spend six days in the province.

During her time in Quebec, she will hold news conferences in Montreal and Quebec City. She'll also travel to the French self-governing territory of Saint-Pierre and Miquelon, south of Newfoundland, and hold a news conference there.

Premier Philippe Couillard, Parti Québécois Leader Pierre Karl Péladeau and Coalition Avenir Québec leader François Legault have all declined to meet her.
No federal politicians would acknowledge her presence either.

Which has rather left everyone wondering, what the hell is she here for? If she was using a foreign trip to make herself look presidential moving towards next year's election, it was a complete flop. Canadian politicos would have sooner welcomed an Ebola-infected gibbon monkey.

She should come to the US...

I'm sure Donald Trump would be happy to shake her hand...

Saint-Pierre and Miquelon is very nice. I'd be happy to visit again some time. They have the only guillotine which has been used to execute someone in N. America.

She managed to shoot herself in the foot quite nicely all on her own. The French press is mocking her embarrassing debacle - Marine Le Pen's Quebec Escapade

Most well-educated people today are multi-lingual.  And that doesn't mean English and emoji/text-speak.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Well, some American Universities have declared it is bi-lingual to be fluent in American-English and Computer Programing.
