Looking at this purely from a logical standpoint, the US already buys more shit from China (also a communist-run country) — fully one-third of this nation's imports — than we do from any other nation on the face of the planet. I fail to see what irreparable harm is going to be caused by opening up trade relations with Cuba. -"BB"-

""In fact, an article published in the Havana Times in December 2014 noted that this alleged Fidel Castro quote is a common joke in Cuba:
"Washington and Havana only resume relations "the day that the US president is black and the Argentine Pope" reads a common joke these days on the island, put into the mouth of a fictional Fidel Castro 60s and nicely summarizes the changes that have taken place in the world since then and the great political upheaval happened now."" http://www.snopes.com/fidel-castro-prophecy-quote/

Sorry! I got to searching for the quote as soon as I saw the Fidel meme. I didn't want anyone else forwarding it when I knew the attribution was probably false. Besides, the fine print always trips me up.
